가. 봉
(a) Bars and rods
"봉"이란 압연ㆍ압출ㆍ인발(引拔)ㆍ단조(鍛造)제품으로서 코일 모양이 아니어야 하고, 그 횡단면이 전체 길이에 걸쳐 균일하고 중공(中空)이 없으며, 원형ㆍ타원형ㆍ직사각형(정사각형을 포함한다)ㆍ정삼각형·볼록정다각형["편평화한 원형"과 "변형된 직사각형"을 포함하며, 이들은 마주보는 두 변이 볼록한 호(弧) 모양이고 다른 두 변은 직선이며 길이가 같고 평행한 것이다]인 것을 말한다. 이 경우 횡단면이 직사각형(정사각형을 포함한다)ㆍ삼각형ㆍ다각형인 물품은 전체 길이에 걸쳐 둥근 모양의 모서리를 가지는 경우도 있다. 횡단면이 직사각형("변형된 직사각형"을 포함한다)인 물품은 그 두께가 폭의 10분의 1을 초과하는 것으로 한정한다. 또한 위와 동일한 모양과 치수를 가진 주조 제품이나 소결(燒結) 제품으로서 제조된 후 단순한 트리밍(trimming)이나 스케일 제거(de-scaling) 이외의 다른 연속가공을 거친 것도 포함한다. 다만, 다른 호에 해당하는 물품이나 제품의 특성이 있는 것은 제외한다. 그러나 제74류의 와이어바(wire-bar)와 빌릿(billet)으로서 선재[와이어로드(wire-rod)]나 관(管) 등으로 제조할 때 단순히 기계에 투입하는 것을 쉽게 하기 위한 목적으로 끝을 가늘게 하거나 그 밖의 다른 가공을 한 것은 제7403호의 구리의 괴(塊)로 본다. 이 규정은 제81류에 해당하는 물품에도 준용한다.

The thickness of such products which have a rectangular (including “modified rectangular”) cross-section exceeds one-tenth of the width. The expression also covers cast or sintered products, of the same forms and dimensions, which have been subsequently worked after production (otherwise than by simple trimming or de-scaling), provided that they have not thereby assumed the character of articles or products of other headings.Wire-bars and billets of Chapter 74 with their ends tapered or otherwise worked simply to facilitate their entry into machines for converting them into, for example, drawing stock (wire-rod) or tubes, are however to be taken to be unwrought copper of heading 74.03.This provision applies mutatis mutandis to the products of Chapter 81.

(e) Tubes and pipes
"관(管)"이란 전체 길이에 걸쳐 하나의 중공(中空)을 가지는 제품으로서 코일 모양인지에 상관없고 그 횡단면이 균일하며, 원형ㆍ타원형ㆍ직사각형(정사각형을 포함한다)ㆍ정삼각형ㆍ볼록정다각형 모양으로서 그 벽의 두께가 균일한 것을 말한다. 횡단면이 직사각형(정사각형을 포함한다)ㆍ정삼각형ㆍ볼록정다각형인 물품은 전체 길이를 통하여 모서리가 둥근 모양일수도 있는데, 횡단면의 내측과 외측이 동심(同心)이고 동일한 모양과 방향성을 가지고 있는 경우에는 관(管)으로 본다. 위와 같은 횡단면을 가진 관(管)들은 연마한 것, 도포한 것, 구부린 것, 나선가공한 것, 구멍을 뚫은 것, 웨이스트한(waisted) 것, 익스팬디드한(expanded) 것, 원추형으로 한 것, 플랜지(flange)·고리·링을 붙인 것도 있다.

'get away with'는 시험에서 부정 행위를 한다거나 도로에서 무단 횡단을
하는 것과 같이 나쁜 행동을 하고도 들키거나 처벌받지 않고 무사히
넘긴다는 뜻이다. 따라서 "I always get away with it."은 "나는 언제나
걸리지 않고 그 일을 해 왔다"는 뜻이다. 우리가 영화 등에서 많이 접할 수
있는 "그런 짓을 하고도 무사할 성 싶으냐?"와 같은 극적인 말도
이 표현을 써서 "You can't get away with it."이라고 하면 된다.
참고로 'get away with murder'라는 말도 있는데 이는 '매우 나쁜 짓을
하고도 들키지 않다'라는 비유적인 표현이다.
