This summer, as in previous years, temporary police stations have
been set up at major summer resorts across the country to prevent
vacationers' misbehavior. At the same time, the Ministry of
Environment stations inspectors at 900 beach resorts, pleasure grounds
and other public places to check offenders through Aug. 18.

The Ministry's original plan to reduce emissions by deploying 2,354 natural gas buses by the end of 2001 has virtually failed.
