Both the South Korean government and the nation's political
parties reacted immediately to the sensitive issue of Japan's
sovereignty claim over the Tokdo islets, which are now guarded by
a contingent of South Korean maritime police.

The Coast Guard, which arrived at Seomang Port on Jindo Island at 7:58 p.m., safely handed over the patient and guardians to 119 paramedics who were waiting.
소방본부 관계자는 "심혈관계 질환으로 의식이 꺼져가던 50대 여성이 소방대원과 해경의 합동작전으로 무사히 목숨을 건졌다"고 말했다.
An official from the fire department said, "A woman in her 50s who was losing consciousness due to a cardiovascular disease saved her life safely through a joint action between firefighters and the sea police."
