...원래 영국,독일,스칸디나비아 등지에서 17 세기 경에 유행했던
게임의 일종입니다. Hand in the cap 이 말이 변형이 된것인데
이 게임의 목적은 값어치가 각각 다른 물건을 웃돈을 얹어서
교환하는데 있었다고 합니다.
게임은 심판과 물건을 교환할 두사람 으로 구성되며 심판이 가지고
있는 쳉모자나 중절모자에 세사람이 일정액의 돈을 넣게 된다고
합니다..물건교환을 찬성하게 된다면 심판이 정한 웃돈을 손에 쥔채
내밀고 찬성하지 않으면 빈손을 내밀게 된다고 하는데 , 두사람이
똑같이 동전을 내밀면 물건의 차액을 건네줌과 동시에 교환거래가
성립하며 중절모속의 돈은 심판의 차지가 되고 둘다 빈손을 내밀면
교환거래가 성립 않되고 역시 중절모속의 돈은 심판의 차지가 됩니다.
그러나 한사람는 찬성, 다른사람은 빈손을 내밀면 거래는 성립
안돼지만 걸었던 돈은 동전을 내밀었던 사람의 차지가 되었습니다.
이 같은 원리가 18세기 경마장에서 적용되씔심판은 두말중에
잘뛰는 말에 무거운 돌을 얹고 뛰게 하는 불리한 조건을 부과
함으로써 능력을 다른 두말사이에 정당한 경마 경기를 가능하게
했다고 합니다..
그래서 Handicap 은 불리한 조건.이라는 의미를 가지게 되었고
나아가서는 신체적인 장애란 뜻도 포함하게 되었다고합니다.

제가 재채기를 하자 미국인 친구가 "Bless you!" 라고 하
던데, 무슨 유래가 있을 것 같은 생각이 머리를 떠나지 않
더군요.

이 관습의 유래는 흑사병이 전 유럽을 강타하여 런던에
서만도 최소 8만 명이 사망한 17세기, 나아가 중세로 거슬러
올라갑니다.
17세기에는 재채기는 당시 세계 곳곳을 휩쓸었던 끔찍한
흑사병의 첫 징후로 여겨졌답니다. 또한 중세기의 사람들은
재채기를 하면 그의 영혼이 일순간 육체를 떠난다고 믿었다
는군요.
그래서 옆에 있던 사람들은 일시적으로 육체를 떠나 무방비
상태에 놓인 영혼이 악마에게 사로잡히지 않도록 재빨리,
"God bless you!" 라고 소리쳤읍니다.
그러면 영혼이 악마로부터 보호받고 무사히 육체로 되돌아
온다고 믿었던 것이죠.
'Ahchoo' 하고 재채기를 하면 옆에 있는 사람들은 "Bless
you." 라 말하고, 재채기를 한 사람은 "Thank you." 하고
답례를 합니다.
또 재미있는 것은, 남부 아프리카에서 창조주로 받드는,
"Tiki" 라는 신이 "Zulus" 라는 첫 인간을 만들 때 재채기
를 함으로써 생명을 불어넣었다는 이야기가 있습니다.
그래서 재채기는 신성한 영혼의 증거가 되는 것이므로 재
채기를 하는 사람을 보면 기뻐하는 사람들도 있습니다.
또, "(God) bless me!" 라는 표현도 있는데, 이 말은 놀
라움을 표현하는 일종의 감탄사죠. 또한 감사와 호의를 표
시하는 "(God) bless your heart!" 라는 표현도 있습니다.

장고 is a drum that is shaped like an hourglass and is the chief
percussion instrument of Korea.
장고는 두 개의 머리를 가진 모래 시계 같은 모양을 하고 있는 우리나
라의 대표적인 타악기 입니다.
The name is derived from the words '장'and '고'or stick and drum.
장고라는 이름은 막대기를 뜻하는 '장'과 북을 의미하는 '고'가 합쳐
져서 장고라고 합니다.
It is roughly between 40 and 60 centimeters in length and about
20 to 30 centimeters in diameter.
장고는 길이가 약 40~60 센티미터 정도 되고 또 북머리의 지름은 약
20~30 센티미터 정도 입니다.
It is carved from paulownia wood and this hourglass shaped instr-
ument is entirely hollow.
장고는 오동 나무를 깎아서 만들고 모래시계 모양의 악기의 속은 텅텅
비어 있습니다.
Teh two circular heads of the drum are covered with animal skin
and the heads are laced to each other with cords that zig zag
tween the two areas.
장고의 둥근 두 개의 머리는 동물 가족으로 덮혀 있고 두 표면 사이에
지그 재그 모양으로 실로 엮어 있지요.
These cords can be manipulated by a leather strap to adjust the
head tension and it is the amount of tension which controls the
tone of the drum beat.

이렇게 함으로써 우리가 그들을 더 가깝게 느끼는 데 도움이 되었습니다.

This Agreement may be terminated at the option of ABC, effective
upon thirty(30) days prior written notice of termination given
to XYZ, in the following events ;
