Travel time between Seoul and Taejon, which usually takes two
hours, took more than four hours, according to the Korea Highway
Corp. (KHC)

from provincial areas yesterday.
한국도로공사측은 29일 23만대의 차량이 서울로 돌아 온 것으로 추산했다.
The figures compiled by Korea Highway Corp. showed that 10,928
accidents occurred on the nation's expressways under fine weather
conditions between January 1994 and June 1996. A total of 1,547
were killed in the accidents, showing a death ratio of 14.15
percent.
한국도로공사가 94년 1월부터 올 6월까지 고속도로에서 일어난 교통
사고를 비교분석한 자료에 따르면 이 기간동안 맑은날에 일어난 사고
는 1만9백28건에 이르는 것으로 나타났으며 이 사고로 1천5백47명이
사망(치사율,14.2%)했다.
