It is refreshing to hear that a provincial citizen has bravely taken on
an organized gang in his town, running advertisements in newspapers,
accusing them of assault. The advertisements took the form of an open
letter to President Kim Young-sam and state prosecutors, which has left
him vulnerable to retaliation.

against gangsters themselves because they are afraid of retaliation. This

용감한 시민의 청원에 대한 신속한 조치로, 김대통령은 그 시민에게 서한
을 보내어, 정부는 그 폭력배들을 반드시 소탕하겠다고 다짐하면서, 내각에
