비. 티. 엑스 (BTX / Benzene Toluene Xylene)
납사의 접촉개질 등을 통하여 생산된 방향족 화합물로 벤젠, 톨루엔, 자일렌을 말함.
열병합발전 (Cogeneration / Co-Gen)
발전을 통하여 전력을 생산함과 동시에 고압 스팀 및 온수를 생산하는 시설을
말함. 단순히 전력만을 생산하는 것과 비교해 보면 2배 가까운 열효율
(약 60%∼70%)을 얻을 수 있음.
촉매 (Catalyst)
자기자신의 고유한 성질은 변하지 않으면서 어떤 화학반응의 속도를 조절(촉진
또는 억제)하는 역할을 하는 물질.납사의 접촉개질 등을 통하여 생산된
방향족 화합물로 벤젠, 톨루엔, 자일렌을 말함.
A-Tower, A-Column, Topper, Topping Column 이라고도 불리우며, 원유를 비등점의
차이에 따라 LPG, aphtha, Kerosene, Diesel, B-C 유분으로 분리하는 시설.
이 시설은 원유를 구성하고 있는 성분들이 일정한 압력과 온도하에서 기체로
증발되려는 성질이 각각 다른점을 이용하며, 이에 따라 탑 내부의 온도와 압력을
높이에 따라 점차 변화시켜(상부로 갈수록 온도와의 압력이 낮아짐) 혼합되어
있는 유분을 각각의 유분으로 분리하는 시설임.
CDU는 대기압과 비슷한 상압에서 운전되기 때문에 상압증류탑이라 불리우며,
내부는 약 40-50여개의 단(Stage)으로 구성되어 있고, 원유는 열교환기 및
Heater(가열로)를 통해 약 350℃로 가열되어 투입 됨. 각각의 단은 약 1m 내외의
높이마다 설치된 칸막이(Tray)로 구분되어 있고, 각각의 Tray는 기포를
발생시키기 쉬운 구조의 캡형태(Bubble Cap Tray), 작은 구멍이 뚫려 있는 형태
또는 밸브가 설치된 형태의(Valve Tray) 철판으로 되어 있어 윗단에서 응축되어
내려오는 액상 성분과 아랫단에서 기화하여 올라오는 기상 성분의 접촉을
원활히 하여 기·액 평형이 쉽게 이루어지도록 고안되어 있음.
태양전지 (Solar photovoltaic cell)
광기전력효과(photovoltaic effect)를 응용함으로써 태양에너지를 직접
전기에너지로 변환할 수 있는 소자. 광기전력효과에서와 같이 태양광에 의해서
발생된 전하운반자(Carrier)는 내부전기장에 의하여 외부회로를 통하여 흐르게 됨
주 : 실제로 전지로 구성된 집합체는 모듈(module)에 부착되고 모듈은 다시
판이나 배열(arrays) 형태 (직렬, 병렬 또는 직.병렬 혼합형)로 제작됨.
현재 태양전지의 응용은 전지의 특성을 최대 활용할 수 있는 조건을 갖고
있는 분야에 국한되어 있다. 즉 적은 전력을 필요로 하는 외딴지역에,
예를들어 태양펌프, 광학신호, 통신, 밧데리충전, 인공위성전원, 전기분해,
화학전지 또는 밧데리의 대체용 (시계, 계산기, 장난감...등)으로 활용되고 있음.
태양전지의 적용을 확대해서 생각해 보면 대규모 광발전소를 들 수 있으나
모듈값이 내려가야만 가능하다는 판단임.
확인 매장량 (Proved / Proven Reserves)
현재까지 발견된 기술을 통하여 저류층으로부터 회수가능한 매장량.

apicoectomy (치근단절제술) 치조골에 형성한 개구부를 통하여 행하는 치근첨의 절제.
bile (담즙) 1. 척추동물의 간장에서 생성되는 소화분비액. 간장에서 만들어진 담액은 담낭에
비축되어 총담관을 통하여 십이지장으로 분비된다. pH는 7.6-7.3이다. 담즙액이나 무기염 및
담즙 색소가 주 성분이다. 2. 십이지장으로 분비되어 지방의 소화, 흡수를 촉진하는 역할을
함. 3.콜레스테롤과 같은 지용성 물질과 빌리루빈의 배설 경로가 됨.
catheter (도관, 도뇨) 속이 비고, 유연성 있는 관으로 혈관이나 체강에 삽입되어 액체를 빼
내거나 주입하는데 사용된다. 체강 또는 공동 장기에서 액체를 도출하기 위한(또는 액체를
도입하기 위한) 관상의 유연한 외과 기구. 특히 도뇨를 위하여 요도를 통하여 방광에 삽입
한다.
complement (보체) 처음에는 면역학적 세포의 융해, 즉 항체로 덮인 세포의 융해를 일으키
는 혈청내 열에 약한 인자를 가리키는 용어로 사용되었으나, 현재는 면역학적 세포융해뿐
아니라 다른 생물학적 기능의 작동물질로서, 적어도 20개의 서로 다른 혈청 단백으로 구성
되고 완전히 기능적으로 관련된 보체계를 가리킨다. 보체의 활성화는 두 개의 서로 다른 계
통인 전형적 또는 교대적 경로를 따라 일어난다. 전형적 경로의 보체의 구성 단백은 C1에서
C9가지 기호로 나타낸다. C1은 3개의 특징적 단백인 C1q, C1r과 C1s의 칼슘 의존적 복합체
이다. 교대적 경로의 단백과 보체 조절 단백은 대개 일반적인 명칭으로 알려져 있다. 보체
단백의 단백질 분해로 생긴 조각은 C3q와 같이 소문자의 접미어로 표현한다. 불활성화된 조
각은 접미어 i로, 즉 C3bi로 표현한다. 생물학적 능력이 있는 활성화된 성분이나 복합체는
기호 위에 선을 그어서 C1 또는 C4b, 2a로 표현한다. 전형적 경로는 C1이 활성체인 IgM,
IgG1, IgG2또는 IgG3를 갖는 항원 항체 복합체에 결합됨으로써 활성화된다. C1q는 하나의
IgM 또는 2개의 IgG에 결합된다. 교대적 경로는 IgA 면역복합체에 의해 활성화 될 수 있으
며 또한 세균독소, 미생물, 다당체 그리고 세포벽 같은 비면역 물질에 의해서도 활성화된다.
전형적 경로의 활성화는C1, C4, C2 그리고 C3를 포함하는 효소의 폭포 현상을 야기하고, 교
대적 경로의 활성화는 C3 그리고 B, D와 P 인자를 포함하는 폭포현상을 야기한다. 이 두
경로를 통하여 C5 분자가 분할되고 세포막 작용 복합체를 이룬다. 보체 활성화는
anaphylatoxins, opsonins 또는 chemotactic factor 같은 생물학적으로 활성화된 물질을 생산
한다.
diastema (정중이개) 공간이나 찢어진 곳을 표시하는 일반 용어. 치과학에서는 동일 치열궁
에서 인접한 두 치아 사이의 공간. 세포학에서는 적도면의 좁은 지역으로서, 이것을 통하여
세포가 분열한다.
regurgitation (역류) 소화되지 않은 식물의 반추와 같은 역류나 심장으로의 혈액의 역류 또
는 심장판막의 불완전 폐쇄에 의하여 심장 판막구를 통하여 일어나는 혈액의 역류.

A companion to the official record is the public record, defined under 19 CFR
351.104(b). For our purposes, this record is known as the public file and is also kept by
the CRU. This file is located in a public area of the CRU and any portion of the public
record may be photocopied for any member of the public. This record provides the
general public with the story of the proceeding without compromising proprietary or
confidential information submitted in the course of it.

It is worth stating again how important it is to maintain the record on an ongoing basis
throughout an investigation. The new analyst will soon find that a few extra moments
invested in filing documents promptly with the CRU on a regular basis during an
investigation or review will save hours of work later, attempting to piece together an
official record after a final determination.

When an application is approved, the name of the authorized applicant will be placed on
an APO service list that the DOC maintains for each segment of a proceeding. Paragraph
