몰라 몹시 불안에 떨고 있는데, 미국 언론에서는 이런 현상을
"Pink Slip 공포증"이라고 하는데 왜 해고통지서를 "Pink Slip"
이라고 합니까?
=> 요즘 미국에서는 경기침체로 인해 기구축소(Down Sizing
= Right Sizing)를 많이 합니다. 회사에서 주는 정식 해고
통지서를 "pink slip"이라고 하는데 이 말은 1925년경부터
널리 사용되기 시작했습니다. 직원을 해고할 경우에 흔히
월급봉투 속에 붉은 색으로 인쇄된 해고통지서를 넣어 주었
던 것에서 유래되었다고 합니다.
