구두나 서면으로 ‘알리다’의 뜻에서 tell은 일반적인 말이며, inform(알리다, 통지하다)은 약간 격식을 차리는 딱딱한 말로, 한 사실이나 사정에 관한 지식을 어느 사람한테 직접 전하는 것을 강조한다.

acquaint를 ‘알리다’의 뜻으로 쓰는 것은 영국에서는 고문체이지만 미국에서는 표준적 용법이다.

= Right Sizing)를 많이 합니다. 회사에서 주는 정식 해고

you know등의 let는 '허락하다'의 의미로서 '당신이 아는 것을 허락하다'
라는 기분이 담겨 있는 것이다. 응용으로서 '가르쳐 주세요'의 Please

warning과 notice는 전부 옳고 그름의 가치 판단이 포함이 되어 있는
지, 반드시 반응을 해야 하는지에 따라서 구별을 할수 있습니다. 사실
사전에서 이 두개의 단어를 찾아보면 warning은 '경고, 주의, 통지'그
리고 notice는 '경고, 보호, 인식' 이라고 뜻풀이가 되어 있어서 그뜻
을 명확하게 이해하기가 힘들지요. 하지만 두 단어의 구별은 확실하게
되지요. warning이라고 하는 말은 이미 좋지 못하다는 가치 판단이 들
어가 있지요. 즉 , 바람직하지 않다거나 위험한 일이라는 판단이 이미
내려져 있기 때문에 조심하라는 의미를 갖게 되는 것이고요. notice는
옳고 그름에 대한 가치 판단이 포함되어 있지 않고 어떤 상황이나 지
식, 또는 앞으로 일어날 일들을 그대로 전달하여서 알게하는 것을 이
야기 합니다. 그래서 warning의 경우에는 위험한 경우를 알리고 난 다
음에 그것을 피할 수 있는 방향으로 반응하기를 기대하지요. notice는
어떤 반응이 나오기를 기대하기 보다는 사실 그 자체를 알게 했다는것
으로도 의미가 있다라고 보는 것입니다.

This Agreement will be deemed terminated within ten (10) business days of Abc's receipt of Your notice.

If You dispute any payment made under the Program, You must notify Abc in writing within thirty (30) days of any such payment; failure to so notify Abc shall result in the waiver by You of any claim relating to any such disputed payment.

You acknowledge and agree that Abc may, without further notice to You, contribute to a charitable organization selected by Abc all funds, payments and other amounts related to the Xyz Program that are held by Abc and that are due to you (if any), but which Abc is unable to pay or deliver to You because Your account is Inactive (as defined below). “Inactive” means that, based on Abc's records: (a) for a period of two (2) years or more You have not logged into your account or accepted funds, payments or other amounts that Abc has attempted to pay or deliver to You, and (b) Abc has been unable to reach You, or has not received adequate payment instructions from You, after contacting You at the address shown in Abc's records.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Abc may assign this Agreement to any affiliate at any time without notice.
