You had one too many.
You had one too many drinks.
따라서 You are drunk.
I failed to pass the test. I made one too many mistakes.

>> It is no use crying over spilt milk.
It is of no use (=useless) to cry ---
There is no use crying--- 이거나 둘 중 어느

Here's one performer who's not afraid to take risks.
In her first Hollywood movie the native from Chengdu had no qualms with being an eyeball-collecting villain in the 1994 movie The Crow.

Cars appeared all over America and gradually replaced the horse and cart.
People welcomed this development.
Unfortunately, however, cars were neither safer nor did they stop pollution.
Whether we like it or not, our lives today are dominated by the motor car.
Yet, despite its importance, the car as we know it will soon no longer exist.
Before long it will use up all the fuel, which means that either new fuels must be found or the car will disappear from the face of the earth forever.

As the snow flies
On a cold and gray Chicago morning
A poor little baby child is born
In the ghetto
And his mama cries
Because if there's one thing that she doesn't need
it's another hungry mouth to feed
In the ghetto
People, don't you understand
the child needs a helping hand
or he'll grow to be an angry young man some day
Take a look at you and me,
are we too blind to see,
do we simply turn our heads
and look the other way
Ghetto
Ghetto

International businesses need to understand the customs of other countries,
or they will probably have difficulty selling their products.
For example, an American orange juice company in France will have a problem if it sells orange juice as a breakfast drink
because the French don’t drink juice with breakfast.

My coworker Lewis is an environmentalist.
He is up to date on every environmental cause.
He strictly separates his trash, he doesn't use chemicals on his lawn, and he drives a small car to save oil and reduce pollution.
Lewis is not afraid to lecture his peers when he sees them doing something that might harm our environment.
Today Lewis and I met at the copy machine.
I asked Lewis how his paper recycling drive was going.
“Well, you're not participating,” he said.
“Oh, I'm sorry,” I said.
“I should have joined you.”
Then I saw what he was copying: a handwritten note of about three sentences.
He had made dozens of copies.
“Why didn't you make one copy, and then double it up? You could have saved a lot of paper,” I told him.
Lewis smiled weakly.
“Oh, you're right.
Normally I would have, but I'm late for a meeting.”

"Finally you're here! We thought you'd never make it.
Is everything all right?"
"Sure, we're fine.
Please accept our deepest apologies for arriving so late.
We got a flat tire on the freeway, and it took us a while to put on the spare.
Anyway, here we are.
We hope we haven't inconvenienced you."
"Don't give it a second thought.
Better late than never."
"Thanks for being so understanding.
We almost called you to cancel our plans after we got the tire changed, but we decided it would be better to show up late than not to show up at all."
"You did the right thing.
We would have been terribly disappointed if you hadn't come.
Let's go on to the dining room and eat now."

When are women going to get a fair shake? If I wanted to be a housewife I'd stay home.

I shall never forget the disgust I felt one day in the United States when I
heard quoted for the first time the well known words of an American soldier, "My
country, right or wrong."

The American people will then get a good hard look at a situation that
must fill all but the thickest-skinned citizen with a sense of shame:
the financial plight of the men who protect out country.

I wish my venture would work out.

They won't let him inside.

I could catch the bus if I had got up earlier.

If I had had the money, I could have taken a long vacation.

opinions of te public would be different.

It is so easy to be reactive! You get caught up in the moment. You say
things you don't mean. You do things you regret later. And you think,
"Oh, if only I had stopped to think about it, I would never have reacted
that way!" Clearly, our lives would be better if we acted based on our
deepest values instead of reacting to the feelings of the moment. What we
all need is a 'pause button' - something that enables us to stop between
what happens to us and our response to it.

Just Take My Heart
Sung by Mr.Big
It's late at night and neither one of us is sleeping
I can't imagine living my life after you're gone
Wondering why so many questions have no answers
I keep on searching for the reason
Why we went wrong
Where is our yesterday
You and I could use it right now
But if this is goodbye
* *
Just take my heart when you go
I don't have the need for it anymore
I'll always love you but you're too hard to hold
Just take my heart when you go
-
Here we are about to take the final step now
I just can't fool myself
I know there's no turning back
Face to face it's been an endless conversation
But when the love is gone
You're left with nothing but talk
-
I'd give my everything
If only I could turn you around
But if this is goodbye
-
* * repeat
-
Just take my heart

Take my heart
Just take my heart

-
* *
-
* * 반복
-

You are well aware that I do not drop the ball
on things like this, Remy.

You may despise me, Orrin,
but the classy thing to do
would've been to invite us up
for some of that iced tea.

Hang on a second. Reverend.
Congressman.
Nice to see you again.
I wish it was under better circumstances.

But you've been with older men before?
Yes.
Then you know they hurt you,

and after they hurt you,
they discard you.
You can't hurt me.

Marty Spinella, head lobbyist for the teachers' union.
He wants to rip my head off and peel it like an orange.
Why? Because I lied to him. But what choice did I have
when the truth would've ended the conversation before it began?

Which he'll lose because he botched a sex offender sting last year.

You know, word travels fast in this town.
All those luncheons and conventions and dinners.
It's going to be a shame to lose all that work. Isn't it?
Congressman, you are absolutely right,
but if my staff walks out, I--
Please understand the predicament I'm in.

So what do you have for me?
What do you mean?
Well, you're surrounded by Washington's elite.
Are you saying you've overheard nothing
that could be useful to either of us?

Is he better yet? Because I would
feel a lot safer if he was with us.

Then come in here. I wanna put powder on you.
Well, there's somebody at the studio can do that.
Yes, and they always cake on too much. I'm doing it.
War paint.
How bloody do you think it'll be?
I think I oughta be able to dispatch with him easily enough.

But it wasn't him I was watching.
And every time I saw you,
every time I heard your voice,
all I could think to myself was,
"Jesus, what I wouldn't give."
I can't tell you how many times I thought about that.

Yes. I can smell the cock on your breath from here.
You think you can get under my skin?
I know I can.
Yeah.
Kiss my ass, Frank.
You can't afford to walk out. Watch me.

I think Claire and I have things pretty well under control.
If I brought a senior U.S. Congressman into the fund,
that would really up my stock in the company.

What other things?
You know, I cannot guarantee you
that all of this is gonna succeed.
Oh, it's not that.
You can tell me, or I can keep guessing.
You'll roll your eyes.
Not at you.

So you didn't quit today.
I did, but I changed my mind.
This isn't your decision to make.
I'm keeping my job and I'm keeping this apartment.
No, you're not.
- You promised you'd make this go away.
- And you're starting over...
I already started over. I don't want to start over again.
I wish you didn't have to.
Get out.
나가요
Get out!
Lower your voice.

Entitlements. Raising the age of eligibility to 67.
Your people will never go for it.
They will if the leadership does,
and the leadership will.

But if you never told anybody about it,
the assailant could still be out there.
Can you tell us anything about him?
I saw him for the first time in almost 30 years just a few months ago.
Where?
At a commissioning ceremony that Francis and I attended.
- Did you speak to him?
- Briefly.
- Francis pinned stars on him.
- He was being commissioned?
General Dalton McGinnis.

We are prepared to offer Clayton West a 40-year lease
on the Mei Mei rare earth elements refinery, to which I will lend my name.
I understand that you and Raymond are business associates.
But you're gonna have to open it up to bidding.
Mr. Tusk will outbid any competitors.
Well, even so, you know, for appearances.
Yes. Appearances. If you must.

All right. Draw up a request from the Defense Department.
- Yes, sir.
- 네
- Linda, draft the executive order.
And, Cathy, make sure we have a third-party conduit to purchase the samarium.
We'll go through India.
That won't fly well with Pakistan.
I'll alert them in advance.
As long as they're in the loop, we'll be all right.

What I'm about to tell you doesn't leave this room.
Fine.
There may be an element inside the agency involved with the hit on Palmer.
- What? - The next 24 hours, I want you all over this.
You'll interface with every division.
I am the last person that you want to bring something like this to.
- I don't agree.
- Richard...
I built a case against three of our own agents and busted them for taking bribes.
If there's a conspiracy in the agency, I'll never get anywhere near it.
Well, you'll have to, Jack.
Because you're the only guy that I can trust.

- So, what's your name? - Martin.
I'm Mandy.
Hey, maybe we can get together when we're in LA or something.
I'm gonna be pretty busy.
See ya.

I just hope the girls are still there.
I don't believe this.
Stay in your car, sir. Back in the car.
Keep your hands where I can see 'em.
- Do you know how fast you were drivin'?
- Yes. Our daughters are missing.
We got a phone call. We're on our way to pick them up.
- Licence and registration.
- Did you hear what I said?

You sure you wanna know? You might not like what you find if you open that door.
It's already open and I'm listening.
The night Gibson raped Nicole,
while Sherry was still at the hospital and you were flying back,
Keith went to see Gibson.
How do you know this?
Keith told me. Your son came to me, David.
He said Gibson pulled a knife. I took him at his word. It was an accident.
He was defending himself.
So you made it look like Keith was never there?
As far as I was concerned, he never was.
Why didn't we just go to the police? If it was self-defence, Keith would have been cleared.
Maybe, but your career would have been over.
Gibson was white, David.

- I still wouldn't have covered it up.
- Are you so sure?
It was my decision, not yours.
I don't want you anywhere near me... or my family... ever again.
You have never needed me more than you need me now.
Get out.
나가
Before you finish crucifying me... save some nails for your wife.
- Sherry didn't know anything about this.
How do you think Keith got to me in the first place?

Bad idea. You flag down that car, you bury your daughter.
I'm your only hope of getting her back. If I don't deliver you in half an hour, Kimberly's dead.
Where is she, you son of a bitch?
You gonna knock me out again? I can't talk if I'm unconscious.
- Where's Kimberly?
- Let me go and I'll take you to her.
You're not going anywhere.
Calling the cops would be just as bad. Or are you calling Jack?
- I don't think that's gonna help, either.
- Shut up. Shut up. Shut your mouth.

I can't do anything in here. I have to get on the floor.
We can't cut their video, cos Gaines'll get suspicious when he sees you walkin' around.
I know what to say to him.

I know how you feel about telling our side of the story first, but there is no time for that.
Maureen is gonna go on air at nine o'clock. That's 40 minutes from right now.
Isn't there anything we can do to stop her?
She won't budge.
And why would she?
''Candidate's son faces murder charges. Cover-up suspected.'' It's a huge story.
I cannot believe that you are just going to accept this without puttin' up a fight.
There's nothing to fight. It doesn't matter who breaks the story, me or Maureen.
- We have to deal with it and get past it. - You've done the impossible for your career.
- I'm just asking you to do it for your son. - No.
You're asking me to rewrite history.
And if you wanted my help, you would've asked me for it seven years ago.
Oh, for crying out loud, David!
- I need today's schedule in my office. - Yes, sir, right away.

- I'm sorry. This is all my fault. - No, no, no. It's OK, honey. It's OK. Shh.
If I hadn't snuck out, this wouldn't have happened.
Listen to me.
We are going to get through this. We're gonna be a family again.
You and me and Dad are gonna have our lives back.
This is not gonna be a part of that life. You understand what I'm saying?
You're not gonna tell Dad?

Good morning.
Things have been out of control here today. Starting now, they're back in control.
Most of you know that an attempt was made on Senator Palmer at about 8am.
You may not know that Jack Bauer was apparently involved in that attempt.
The nature of his involvement isn't clear,
but he has escaped custody and is considered a fugitive.
We therefore have two objectives: Find Jack Bauer,
and make a quick and accurate assessment of the threat, if any, facing Senator Palmer.
I know most of you have been up more than 24 hours.
Too bad. Nobody so much as yawns until we accomplish our objective.
If anybody has a problem with that, now would be a good time to resign.
Good. Let's get back to work.
Specific assignments will be confirmed or revised within the hour.

- Hey. I'm here. - Bad timing?
No problem. I just could have used a few more minutes.
I wish I had 'em. Gimme what you got.
All right. He's the oldest of three children. His father died when he was a boy.
Means he learned responsibility early.
ln college at 16. lntelligent.
First in his class. Vice president of a company three years later.
OK. So he's ambitious, driven. Maybe too much so.
- He has a heart condition. - I know. I've got his pills.
He's very organised.
No charities, no...
He's not generous with time or money. Anal. I'd guess passive-aggressive. Control freak.
So make him sweat it out for a while, assume control, then behave erratically.
Yeah. One more thing. Um, a hunch, really.
With people this tightly wound, the threat of pain can be more effective than pain itself.
This is all just guesswork. I could have done more if I'd had time.
You did great. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Get in?
To the fraternity. Pledging. I mean, it's not easy.
Apparently not.
So you guys let James know he wasn't getting in, right?
Yeah, I told him last night. I'm the one in charge of dinging the pledges.
Big job.
How did he take it?
I think you know.

What's your take?
Whoever did it,
killed the mother first.
In her sleep. Quick.
Explains why the blood is confined to the bed, and the floor under it.
Husband woke up ran to protect his kids.
The killer nicked him, here...
and then finished him off down the hall.
Gave his life for the little girl. There should be more blood.
Yeah
맞아
it's a hole. We need to fill it.
If we start from the inside and fan out.
Who ever is left at the crime scene.

How about this, Tina?
You live in a house with six people, right?
You must be used to footsteps in the kitchen late at night.
Why so scared last night?
I know my brothers' footsteps.
And my Dad's.
These were different.

You look tired, buddy. Yant me to fix you a bottle? Go ni-ni.
You want me to clack that jaw? Put your ass ni-ni?
Should have chosen to work the tire tracks.
Jimmy in Trace put together a digital catalog of treads.
Has thousands on file. Took me three minutes.
Pirelli Low Profile P-Zero's. High performance.
And standard on your alleged getaway vehicle,
the '99 Bentley Arnage, Red Label.
Sweet ride, man. Hand-crafted.
So, how many people in Vegas you think drive that kind of price tag?
Three.
세 명

One-to-ones say that's the car.
