[~달러 수표]와 같이 금액을 나타낼 때는 전치사 for를 사용한다. in the
amount of $ ~ 도 사용할 수 있지만 간결성이 요구되는 상업서신에는 부적당
하다.
Sound can be converted into an electric current by a device called a microphone.

◆ rent와 borrow에 관하여
rent 와 borrow 모두 '빌리다' 라는 뜻을 가지고 있습니다.
rent: 어떤 것을 사용하는 대신 돈을 지불하는 것을 의미
I was renting my apartment when you visited last year.(작년에 네가 방문했을 때 나는 아파트에 세 들고 있었어)
A: I rented a video from the video shop.(비디오 테잎 하나를 빌렸어)
B: How much did you pay for that? (얼마를 냈니?)
