and tossed it out of the car. With a sigh of relief, he pulled into the
restaurant parking lot. That's when he noticed his wife squirming around
in her seat. "Honey," she asked, "have you seen my other shoe?"

아내가 창 밖을 바라볼 때까지 기다렸다가 신발을 집어 차창 밖으로 던졌다.
안심을 하고 그는 레스토랑 주차장으로 들어섰다. 그때 아내가 자리에서
두리번거리는 것을 보았다. "여보," 그녀가 물었다. "내 신발 한 짝 못봤어요?"
A: Do you think you can give me a ride downtown?
B: Sure. Get in. But I have to stop off at the
supermarket on the way.
A: 시내까지 태워 줄 수 있어요?
B: 물론이지요. 타세요. 그런데 가는 길에 수퍼마에
잠시 들러야만 해요.
