'Siamese twins'의 의미는?

Siamese : 태국의 옛 이름.
* 유래 : 1811년 중국계 태국인 쌍둥이 "창"과 "엥"이 상
체가 붙은 채로 태어났는데, 키가 157센티미터가
될 때까지 컸으며 걷고 뛰는 것은 물론 수영도 했
다고 함. 1829년 미국으로 건너가 시민권 취득.
1943년 두 자매와 결혼. 1973년 1월 17일 노스캐
롤라이나에서 사망.
