월남전 당시 미군들(American G.I.) 사이에서 쓰이는 속어인데
베트남이 프랑스의 식민지였을 때 산속에 9개의 부족인들이 살았답니다.
그 부족인들을 회유하여 동맹군으로 만들기 위해 사용했던 지침서가 nine입니다.
미군들은 이 산 속에 있는 사람들을 yard라고 불렀습니다.
