[寫] lens aberration(렌즈 시차) - 렌즈도 제작상 혹은 설계상의 이유로 사람의 눈처럼 이미지를 왜곡시키거나 기능이 잘못 되는 수가 있다. 다음은 모든 렌즈가, 정도의 차이는 있지만, 나타내는 시차의 종류들이다.
①중심의 컬러 프린징(central color fringing)/ 초점이 맞는 지점의 이미지가 선명하지 못하고 컬러에 줄무늬가 생기는 현상으로 회절(回折)에 의해 생긴다.
②중심의 구면 수차(central spherical aberration)/ 포커스 변화와 광반 현상(flare)이 생긴다.
③가장자리 측면 컬러 프린징(edge-lateral-color fringing)/ 이미지가 선명하지 못하고 가끔은 다양한 컬러 이미지가 생긴다.
④가장자리 비점 수차(edge astigmatism)/ 이미지에 줄무늬가 생긴다.
⑤가장자리 코마(edge coma)/ 광반 현상으로 나타나는데, 보통은 뿌옇게 흐려서 선명하지 못하다.
⑥광학상 분산(optical decentering)/렌즈 제작상의 잘못은 렌즈 설계와는 상관없다. 값이 싸고 이름이 별로 없는 렌즈에 가끔 있는 현상으로, 여러 가지 많은 시차를 일으킨다.
⑦제2의 영상과 광반 현상(residual ghost & flare)/ 렌즈 내 내부 반사에 의해 일어나며 렌즈는 코팅(coating)시키거나 효과적인 렌즈 후드(lens hood)로써 방지할 수 있다.
⑧직선의 왜곡(linear distortion)/ 수평의 선들이 바늘겨레(pincushion: 바늘을 꽂아 두는 작은 물건)나 통모양을 이루는 현상.
[寫] normal lens(표준 렌즈) - 사람 눈과 비슷한 원근감을 만드는 렌즈로서 35mm 사진에서는 초점거리가 대략 50mm인 렌즈가 해당된다.
[寫] spilt-image rangefinder(파인더 안에 상이 분리되는 부분) - 약간의 SLR뷰잉 스크린에서 보듯이 분리된 이미지는 보통 초점거리가 짧은 렌즈에 제한되긴 하지만 일종의 거리계(레인지파인더)의 역할도 한다.
[寫] telephoto(망원 렌즈) - 35mm사진기에서 긴 초점거리의 렌즈와 기능상 비슷한 렌즈로서 원근감을 줄이며 이미지 크기를 확대한다.
[寫] wide angle(광각 렌즈) - 초점거리가 짧은 렌즈로서 원근감을 과장시키고 이미지 크기는 줄인다.
