중요한 장애가 주된 양상이다. 읽기 이해능력, 단어 알아 보고 읽기, 구두 읽기능력, 읽기를 요구하는
임무의 수행등이 모두 제약받는다. 철자(Spelling)어려움이 특수 독서장애에 수반되는 증상이며 독
서능력의 진전이 있더라도 청년기까지 잔류한다. 특수 독서발달장애는 일반적으로 말하기와 언어발
달장애의 과거력이 선행한다. 학령기에는 연관된 정서적, 행동적장애가 일반적이다.

특수독서장애의 과거력 없이 철자능력발달의 심각한 장애가 있는 것이 주된 형태이며 이것은 낮은
정신연령이나 시각적 명료도 문제 또는 부적당한 학교 교육에 의한 것이 아니다. 철자를 말하는
능력과 단어를 쓰는 능력 둘 다장애가 온다.

F81.2 특수 산술능력장애(Specific disorder of arithmetical skills)
전반적인 정신발육지체이나 부적당한 학교교육에 의해서는 설명될 수 없는 특이한 산술능력의 손상.
이 손상은 기초적인 계산능력의 숙달에 문제가 있다. 즉 수학, 삼각법, 기하학, 미적분의 추상적
산술능력이 아니라 더하기, 빼기, 나누기, 곱하기등의 장애를 말한다.

F81.3 학습능력의 혼합형 장애(Mixed disorder of scholastic skills)

인 정신발육지체이나 부적절한 학교교육으로 설명되지 않는다. F81.2와 F81.0 또는 F81.1에 대한
