남자가 여동생 방에 들어가면서 Are you decent?
This is a decent familiy house, not a
He got decent grades in math

Sorry for getting in your hair
* get in someone's hair는 누구를 성가시게 괴롭히는 것이고
get out of someone's hair는 더 이상 귀찮게 굴지 않는다는
여기에서 연류된 것이라 생각된다. get on someone's nerves나
get under someone's skin도 같은 의미인데 전치사에 유의해야

Excuse the messy car.

Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away.
Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.

T : Let me call the roll. Where's Kyoung-min?
S1 : She went home early because she wasn't feeling well.
T : That's too bad. I hope she gets well soon. Oh, someone else is absent.
S2 : She's just stepped in.
S3 : Sorry I'm late.

S1 : Excuse me....uh.
T : Why are you late? We started ten minutes ago.
S1 : I'm sorry. I took the wrong bus.
S2 : Another excuse?
T : What will you say the next time you are late?
S3 : Probably that I was stuck in a traffic jam.
T : That's enough. Here's your detention slip. I'll see you after school.

T : Class! Please be quiet! Stretch your arms and legs.
Good! Do you feel refreshed?
S1 : How refreshing!
T : Tae-su! What are you eating during class?
Shame on you!
S2 : Sorry, but it's because I'm very sleepy.
I'm chewing gum to stay awake.
T : I understand, but it's not a good strategy.
Why don't you go and wash your face.
S2 : Thank you for your advice.
T : I'm happy that you have a good attitude.

T : Today is for Lesson Two.
Where did we stop last time, Young-hee?
S1 : We stopped at page ten.
T : Thank you very much.
Please open your books at page eleven.
Listen to the tape carefully.
(After a while)
Now read after me.
OK. Everybody did a good job.
Mi-ra, would you read from the first line?
S2 : I'm so sorry, Miss Lee.
I left my book at home.
T : Oh, that's too bad.
You must be better prepared from now on.

T : Okay, everyone. Take out your books. What page are we on?
S : Page 36.
T : Shall we start? Wait a minute! Hey, Young-hee! Are you sleeping?
S : I am not.
T : Don't lie to me! Your eyes are red like a rabbit.
S : No.
T : Where is your book? And your notebook?
S : I didn't bring them.
T : Bring them next time!

T : Everyone, be quiet! No more talking! Let's look at Number 2. Whose turn is it to read?
S1 : It's my turn.
T : Min-su, I told you to stop chatting. Please behave your- self.
S2 : I'm sorry.
T : Don't interrupt others. Listen and see if he is reading well.
S1 : Which line should I start to read from?
T : The second line from the bottom.

T : Min-su, please answer question 1.
S : Sorry, what page are we on?
T : What were you thinking about?
S : Sorry.
T : What have you got on your desk?
S : Well, I was thinking about my music homework. Today is the deadline.
T : I don't want to hear your excuses. You should have done it before.
S : The thing is I was sick over the weekend, I didn't have time for it. Sorry, it won't happen again.
T : Okay. Any volunteers?

T : I will ask you some questions. If you know the answer, raise your hand.
Which sentence has the writer's main idea? (No answer.) Min-ho, can you answer my question?
S : I'm sorry, but I can't. Could you explain it again?
T : Sure. I'll explain it to you.
In this paragraph, the writer thinks that we have to save the earth against the pollution.
Thus, the first sentence has the main idea of this paragraph. Do you understand now?
S : Yes, I do. Thank you.
T : You're welcome. Se-ho, let me ask you a question. Think over the question before you answer it.

I am sorry to have to tell you that I was an accomplice in the practical joke that caused you so much pain.

Excuse me, I'm sorry to bother you, but I think it is your garbage can that has been spilled in my driveway for the past week.
Anyway, it looks like the can that has been sitting next to your porch,
and it had your name painted on it, but I could still be mistaken.
Maybe we could decide whose it is, but I don't think it is mine.
I could help you clear up the mess, or ask the trashman about it.
It probably isn't either of our faults.

After parking our car at my daughter's apartment late Saturday night,
I noticed the one next to it had its lights on. I left a note on the
windshield with the telephone number, saying I'd come down and give
the battery a boost if needed.
About 3 a.m. the phone rang and a man said, "I'm sorry to bother you,
but I read your note and sure would appreciate a boost."
I turned on my car lights to see what we were doing, and after I got
him started, he offered to pay me. "No thanks," I replied. "Just
help some other motorist sometime."
When I went to my car on Sunday morning, I discovered I had left
my lights on, and the battery was dead.

A:Waiter, there's a fly in my soup.
B:Oh, really? I'm sorry for the mistake.
A:That's all right.
B:I'll take it back and get you another.
나타내지만, 여기서는 bring의 뜻으로 쓰였다.take back대신에 send back을
I'll take it back to the kitchen and
get you another soup가 된다.
That's all right.=That's O. K.=No problem.

All we really need to know about how to live and what to do, we learned
in kindergarten. The things we learned in the kindergarten include
"share everything," "play fair," and "say you're sorry when you hurt
somebody." Sadly, however, We don't apply these rules to our family life,
work or government when we become adults.

Ok, ok, that's fine. Fine. Hey, I'm sorry about that spill before.

Hi! Sorry- sorry we're late, we, uh, kinda just, y'know, lost track of time.
...But a man can change. (Downs a shot)

I'm sorry, Frank. If it had been up to me,
I wouldn't have waited this long to tell you.
So you knew you were going to do this.
It has been an evolving discussion.
It's a chicken-shit move.

Ma'am. You can't go up.
I'm sorry.
I just have one question.
No. No.
Sir, I apologize, this woman...
Congressman.
Miss, you need to step away from the door.
If I could just have one second.
