작업 환경

The nation's fisheries industry is struggling with very harsh
financial and economic conditions and this is seen to have prevented
companies from improving shipping facilities and other working
conditions. It appears that some comprehensive remedial steps by the
government are in order.
우리나라의 수산업계는 매우 힘든 재정및 경제여건속에서 살아남으려고
고전하고 있으며 이로 인해 선박의 설비나 작업환경의 개선을 이루지 못하
고 있는 것으로 여겨진다. 이제는 정부의 종합적인 처방이 나와야 할 차례
로 보인다.

remedial : 치료상의, 치료를 위한, 교정하는, 보충하는

The combine relieved farmers of much of the burden of harvest.
It enabled farmers to rescue crops which otherwise might have been lost.
The combine was first developed for use in countries where the climate was suitable for grain production.
It was said that the climate in such countries as the British Isles was totally unsuitable for its use.
However, this was not true.
Combines work in quite damp conditions.
The use of a combine resulted in a big reduction in the time and labor required to harvest a given crop
because only one or, at the most, two men were needed to operate the machine.
Other labor required to transport the grain to storage was not excessive.
콤바인(복식 수확기, 농기계의 일종)은 농부들의 수확의 수고를 크게 덜어 주었다.
콤바인은 농부들이 그것이 없었다면 잃을 수도 있었던 수확을 가능케 하였다.
콤바인은 곡물 생산에 적당한 기후의 나라에서 사용될 용도로 먼저 개발되었다.
영국 같은 나라의 날씨들에서는 전적으로 콤바인의 사용이 맞지 않다고 말해졌다.
그러나 이것은 사실이 아니다.
콤바인은 매우 습기가 있는 작업 환경에서도 효과가 있다.
콤바인의 사용은 주어진 작물을 수확하는 데 요구되어지는 노동력과 시간을 크게 감소시켰다.
왜냐하면, 오직 한 명 기껏해야 두 명의 남자면 그 기계를 운용할 수 있었기 때문이다.
창고로 곡물을 운송하는데 요구되는 다른 노동력은 지나치게 많지는 않았다.

To keep a pleasant environment, employers cannot allow certain kinds of
behaviors such as arriving late or bothering others. These behaviors may
weaken the group work environment and decrease productivity. So employers
always consider teamwork when they judge a worker's performance. They
look for employees who support each other, take pride in their work, and
encourage a pleasant working environment. Respect, good manners, and
thoughtful behaviors are keys to successful teamwork. In fact, working
well with others is one of the most important job skills.
즐거운 근로환경 유지를 위해, 업주들은 지각이나 남을 짜증나게하는 등의
행동위를 용납하지 않는다. 이런 행위는 집단의 근로환경을 약화시키고
생산성을 떨어뜨릴 수 있다. 그래서 업주들은 근로자의 수행 능력을 판단할 때
언제나 팀웍을 고려한다. 그들은 서로 돕고, 일에 자부심을 느끼며, 즐거운
작업환경을 고무시키는 고용자들을 찾는다. 존중, 좋은 메너, 신중한 행위등이
성공적인 팀워크의 핵심이다. 사실, 다른 사람들과 일을 잘 하는 것이 가장
중요한 작업 기술 중의 하나이다.
