* 날림으로 하는 일을 영어로는 a lick and a promise라고 표현한다.
글자 그대로 풀이하면 '한번 혀로 핥고 나서 나중에 더 잘하겠다고
약속한다'는 뜻이다.
Do it thoroughly. Don't give it a lick and promise는
'일을 철저히 하라. 날림으로 하지 말고'란 뜻이다.
lie down on the job이란 말도 있는데 이것은 '직장에서 누워 있다'는
표현이니까 '일을 제대로 하지 않고 빈둥거린다'는 뜻이다.
이와 반대로 '열심히 일하다'는 work hard지만 buckle down
또는 knuckle down이란 말도 많이 쓴다.

[~을 알게 해주는 서류]라고 하는 정도이고, 이와는 반대로 proving (~을 증
명하다)은 좀더 딱딱한 느낌. 가장 사무적인 것은 substantiating (~을 실증
하다).

1 달러를 사기 위해서 900원만 지불하면 되었던 것이 최근 1400원
정도를 주어야 하므로 똑 같은 제품을 (달러화 기준으로) 사기
위해서는 depreciation이 있기 전 보다 500원을 더 주어야 하므로
