* turn on은 전등이나 TV등을 '켜다'라는 뜻외에 '육체적으로
흥분시킨다'는 뜻이 있다. 노출이 심하고 늘씬한 여자를 보고
난 뒤 She turns me on이라고 하면 '저 여자 섹시한데' 또는
'저 여자를 보니 미치겠는데'라는 말이 된다.
turn on에 또 '관심을 갖게 한다'는 뜻도 있다. 어머니가

일정 단위로 반복되는 기간에는 'every'를 쓰며, every 다음에는
반드시 단수 명사가 온다고 알고 있다. 그런데 '격주'처럼 이 단위가 복수일 때는?
그 때에는 'every+복수 단위'를 써야 한다.
'every ten days(열흘마다)'처럼 '시간, 기간'은 복수 형태라도
단위(unit)로 쓰이면 단수 취급을 한다.

(2주에 한번씩 병원에 가야해요.)
② I have to go in for a check-up every 2 weeks.
