널리 사용 되면서 깜짝 놀랄때 사용하는 감탄사로 쓰이다가 ▶19세
기 후반에는 정치적인 집단을 일컷는 별명이 되기도 하였죠. 바로
1878年 러시아의 침입을 막기위해서 터어키 해역에 해군을 파병해야
한다고 주장했던 "빈손필드 경"을 지지하는 사람을 일컬었으며 ▶
의미가 변하여 맹목적으로 자기 나라가 다른 나라보다 우수하다고
믿는 사람들을 지칭하게 되었죠.
