October 8, 1997: September 1997 marked the tenth anniversary of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the stratospheric Ozone Layer.

오존 (Ozone)
산소분자와 산소원자가 결합하며 이루어진 가스, 질소산화물과 탄화수소 같은
오염물질의 존재 하에서 강한 태양광선이 작용하면 생성될 수 있다.
성층권에서는 오존층이 지상에 도달하는 강한자외선을 감소 시킨다.
오염된 대기권에서 생성된 오존은 식물과 건강에 해가 되며 대기중 여러
화학반응 (예:질소의 산화)을 일으킨다.

◆ injure, hurt, wound, harm, damage
injure 사람이나 동물의 신제, 건강, 감정, 명성 등을 손상시키거나 해칠 때 쓰는 단어로, 특히 육체적 손상에 중점을 둠
