Economy on Steep Slide : 침체국면의 경제
Contrary to the government's expectations, the national economy is on
a sharp decline. The big question is whether it will touch down gently.
Deteriorating exports and many other problems are lying in wait to
make it a rough, rather than soft, landing. Making matters worse, there
are even signs of stagflation, that is rising prices despite a lack of
economic growth.
정부의 예상과는 어긋나게, 한국의 경제는 급속한 침체를 계속하고 있다.
가장 큰 의문은 한국의 경제가 과연 연착륙을 할 수 있는가에 있다. 수출부
진과 기타 많은 문제점들이 경제를 추락시키려고 도사리고 있어서 연착륙을
어렵게 만들고 있다. 사태를 더욱 어렵게 만드는 것은, 부진한 경제성장에도
불구하고, 물가가 올라가는 스태그플레이션의 징조까지 나타나는 점이다.
