The aerodynamic “V” shape reduces the air resistance, which lets the geese fly much farther.
And since the bird at the front of the “V” encounters the most wind resistance, they all take turns at that position.
최근의 과학 연구에 따르면 기러기는 에너지를 절약하기 위해 “V”자 대형으로 날아간다고 한다.
그것은 Tour De France에 참가한 사이클 선수들이 이용하는 것과 같은 원리이다.
그것은 “drafting”이라 부르는데, 기러기들은 좀 더 효율적으로 날기 위하여 앞에 있는 새들에 의해 만들어지는 기류를 이용하는 것이다.
