Well, the ancient Greeks believed that all beauty could be explained with math and used a system to find what they called the “Golden Ratio.”

◆ childish and childlike
1) childish : 어린아이들이 아닌 어른 이 통제력, 자제력이 결여되었을 때 쓸 수 있는 말인데
때로 토라지고, 불합리하며, 참을성이 없다는 함축적인 의미를 가질 수도 있습니다. 그러므로
이 말은 다소 부정적인 분위기를 띠는 단어이며 "어린이의, 어린애다운, 어린애 같은, 유치한,
철없는, 노망한"으로 풀이됩니다.
I thought her nice but rather childish.
(나는 그녀가 좋은 사람이이면서도 약간 유치하다고 생각한다.)

2) childlike : 역시 어른에게 쓰이는 표현으로 childish와 전혀 다른 분위기를 가지고 있는

"(좋은 뜻으로) 어린애다운, 순진한"라는 뜻입니다. 또한 순진성과 욕심이 없다는 의미를
갖기도 합니다.

나 점점 미를 위해서 아름다움을 위해서 얼굴을 중심으로 외모를 바꾸
고자 하는 경향이 강해지면서 cosmetic surgery (미용수술) 이라고 부
르게도 되었습니다. 이것은 흔히 우리가 말하는 미용 성형수술을 가리
키지요. 피부색을 바꾸는 것까지 가능하다고 합니다.
따라서 성형수술을 했다는 말은 She had plastic surgery.
또는 She had cosmetic surgery. 이렇게 이야기를 하면 됩니다.
plastic surgery의 종류도 우리나라에서 가장 흔히 시행되고 있는
쌍꺼풀은 double eyelids이라고 합니다.
그래서 그여자는 쌍꺼풀 수술을 했다고 하면 She had cosmetic
surgery done on her eyes. 라고 합니다. 또는 간단하게 She had her
eyes done. 이라고도 얘기하구요. 그 다음에 nose job은 코뼈를 세우
는 것인데 She had her nose done. 이라고 하면 그 여자는 코뼈를 세
우는 수술을 했다는 말입니다. 그 다음에 face lift는 얼굴에 주름살
을 펴는 수술이 되구요. 그 다음에 breast implant는 가슴이 작아서
커보이게 하기 위해서, 혹은 유방암으로 가슴을 제거한 다음에 수술공
간에 실리콘 같은 것을 집어넣어서 가슴의 빈공간은 메우는 것을 말하
고요. 그 다음에 breast reduction 이라고 하는 것은 가슴이 지나치게
큰 경우 작게 하는 것이고 지방 제거술은 lipo suction이라고 합니다.
