TCDD:원래 이름은 '2,3,7,8-테트라클로로디벤조-파리-다이옥신' 70여종의
다이옥신중 독성이 가장 강하다. 청산가리의 5백배,파라티온의 1백배.
다이옥신은 유기염소가 포함된 물질을 태우거나 이를 이용하는
제지공장에서 주로 나온다. TCDD를 포함, 다이옥신은 안정된 구조를
가지고 있어 분해되는데 오랜 시간이 걸릴 뿐만 아니라 지용성이기 때문에
체내에 들어오면 지방층에 그대로 축적된다. 쓰레기 소각장에서 발생하는
TCDD가 전체 발생량의 95%에 이른다는 선진국의 연구보고가 있었다.

이 역시 기존 '전용 소각장'과 기술적인 사항이 같은 곳에서 소각하므로 보건학적 우려도 없다.
