1) 처음으로: for the first time
2) 스스로: for myself; by myself
3) 보고 있다: be gazing at ~; be looking (fixedly) at

[比較] pupil, student, scholar, disciple
The teacher found her pupils exceedingly restless that day./ She has ten pupils to whom she gives instruction in music.
the number of students in the college/ a college student/ student life
I have been a student of Western European politics ever since I visited France in 1944.
The school has five hundred scholars.

Computer nerd:

He gave the teacher A SONG AND DANCE about his mother being sick as a excuse
for being late.
(= a long lie and excuse often meant to get pity)

The teacher has it in for angel.
☞ have it in for : to want to be unkind to or hurt someone on purpose.

He is a handful.
누가 마음에 쏙 드는 말을 했을 때 You said a mouthful.
You can say that again과 같은

He got an earful from his teacher.

제가 아는 유사한 표현은 "keep the good work" 인데..
-
keep up the good work.
Take care!
Good-bye.
Take it easy!
You're working hard.
You shouldn't have gone to all the trouble.
Thank you for your trouble.

Please chew your gum quietly.
-
to bite off more than one can chew란 씹을 수 있는 것
Don't bite off more than you can chew.
He bit off more than he can chew.
He chewed the matter over.
Let me chew over the problem for a few days.
-
to chew ∼ out은 ∼를 씹어 대는 것이니까 혼내다
The teacher chewed him out for being lazy.
-
to chew the fat에서 fat은 지방인데 유복한 것을 나타내기도 합니다.
The two men were chewing the fat on the porch of the house.

Mr. Kim, what have you done about our claim?

Mr. Kim, believe me, that shipment was absolutely useless.

Look, Mr. Kim, we've just got to settle this claim somehow.
