roam은 wander보다 자유스럽고 행동범위가 넓음을 강하게 암시한다. 주로 일정한 목적, 목표는 없지만, 헛되고 무익한 것을 뜻하는 것은 드물고, 흔히 즐거움과 기쁨의 뜻을 나타낸다. 특히 마음이 산란해서 또는 호기심에서 넓은 지역을 돌아다니는 것을 나타낸다.

Gas molecules are smaller than the wavelength of visible light.
