Many boys and girls who achieve brilliant results at school seem to go to
pieces when they reach a university and, on the other hand, some pupils

솟아오른 돌고래들은 그 생선을 실수없이 채가게 된다. 「비약적으로」라는
뜻을 가진 'by leaps and bounds'라는 표현이 있다. 'leaps'나 'bounds'는
「점프」 또는 「뛰어오름」을 뜻하며,'by'는 차이를 뜻하는 전치사다.

response to a tariff incentive permitting duty-free entry of U.S. insular products. By
1965 duty-free watch shipments from the Virgin Islands accounted for more than 10
percent of U.S. consumption of watches, prompting Congress to place a ceiling on
insular watches at that level. Even under this restriction, the industry became an
important contributor to the economic health of not only the Virgin Islands but Guam
and American Samoa as well.
