Drawing keen attention is the fact that 13 out of the 20 alleged
election violators are members of the ruling New Korea Party. They
include former NKP chairman Kim Yoon-whan, Assembly Vice Speaker
Oh Se-ung and even chairman Mok Yo-sang of the National Assembly's
special committee on election fraud investigation.

unreasonable and unrealistic clauses in the election law. Particularly
suspect is the freedom given to incumbent lawmakers in the pre-election
campaign period to publish reports on their Assembly activities in the
electorate, a privilege not enjoyed by other candidates.
