반면 한국은 2년 이하의 징역 또는 2000만원 이하의 벌금에 처한다는 '개인정보 보호법'이 전부다.

금감원은 또 비밀번호 무단 도용이 개인정보 보호법 위반 소지가 있어 해당법 소관 부서인 행정안전부에 통보하기로 했다.
