* 할 일 없이 빈둥거리는 백수건달에게 흔히들 하는 말이 있다.
'아이고 인간아 할 일이 그리도 없냐. 차라리 뒈져라, 뒈져!'
이 말이 영어에도 있다. Don't you have anything better to do?
즉 '할일이 그렇게도 없느냐?'는 말과 거의 같은 뜻이다.
get a life도 같은 뜻인데 이 말은 경우에 따라 '웃기지 마라'
즉 Don't make me laugh!와 비슷한 뜻으로 쓰이기도 한다.
'철 좀 들어라'는 말은 Grow up!과 같은 뜻으로 쓰이기도 한다.
That's life!란 말도 있는데 이것은 '그게 인생이야!'란 말이며
Such is life!라고 하기도 한다. That's the way the cookie crumbles란
말도 즐겨 쓰는데 That's life나 Such is life와 비슷한 뜻이다.
