Bond-price valuation method: 채권시가평가제
Fund에 편입된 bond price(채권가격)를 market에서 받을 수 있는
current price(시가)로 평가하는 제도. 즉 fund에 편입된 bond price를
매일매일의 시세대로 평가해 fund의 standard price(기준가격)를 계산하는
것이다.
지금까지는 ITCs(투신사)가 채권형 펀드에 편입된 bond(채권)를 일률적으로
평가한 후 경과이자를 붙여 원금과 이자를 돌려줬다. 이는 standard price를
산정할 때 bond를 매입할 당시의 가격을 사용해 bond price가 fixed price
가격보다 오르면 차익을 챙기고 손실이 나면 손해를 보면서 고객에게
제시했던 earning rate를 맞춰 interest rate를 지급하는 것으로
고객들은 fixed interest rate를 받는 셈이어서 은행 저축과 별로 다르지
않았다. 그러나 bond-price valuation method가 적용되면 ITCs 대신 고객이
stock investment(주식투자)와 마찬가지로 투자위험과 고수익을 모두 떠안게 된다.
Interest rate가 내려 bond price가 오르거나 운용에 성공해 매매차익을
거두면 investors' earning rate(고객 수익률)가 올라 가지만
interest rate가 올라 bond price가 떨어지거나 dishonored bond(부실채권)에
잘못 투자하면 손해를 본다.

환변동 위험이나 매매차익에 대한 세금 부담 없이 한국거래소에서 손쉽게 거래할 수 있는 KRX 99.99K와 같은 상품을 눈여겨 볼 필요가 있다는 설명이다.
