창신대 관계자는 "대부분의 지방 사립대학이 통상적으로 1년간 200만원 내외의 장학금을 지급해 왔던 관행에 비하면 신입생 전원에게 등록금 전액을 지원하는 것은 대학 발전을 위한 대단한 결정"이라고 밝혔다.

개인적으로는 다음 학기 등록금을 절반만 내도록 하던가 하고 국가가 교부금 형태로 예산을 지원해주는 것이 방법이라고 생각된다.
