키코는 지난 2008년 발생한 것으로 민법상 손해액 청구권 소멸시효인 10년이 지난 사안이기 때문에 은행 사외 이사 중 특히 대학교수 등은 배상을 받아들일 경우 배임에 해당 될 수 있다며 주저하고 있다.
