「비겁한 짓을 하다」라는 의미를 가진 'hit below the belt'라는 표현은
권투에서부터 비롯된 말이다. 권투에서 상대방을 공격할 때 허리선(belt)
아랫쪽을 가격하는 것은 반칙이기 때문이며,지나치게 아래로 내려가면 큰일
이기 때문에 만들어진 표현이다.
