We could go to the beach tomorrow if the weather is nice.

It's good for me to wear shorts on hot days.

* 날씨가 좋다
It's a nice day today.
It certainly is a nice day, isn't it?
It's warm today.
It's going to be fine.
It has stopped raining(snowing).

My room is sunny and very comfortable.
(ANS) My room is very sunny and comfortable as (or because; since) it faces (the) south. On fine days I find it hardly necessary to light the stove.

날씨가 좋은 날이 아니면: except on fine days (or when the weather is fine); unless the weather is beautiful
→ 제트기로 짐짝처럼 운반되는 것: being transported by jet like a package
또 far from이 있다.
→ 시간이 좀 걸리더라도: though it may take a longer time (또는 more time); however long it may take
(ANS) Planes take you to your destination much more quickly, but they don't afford you much pleasure on the way. Except on fine days they usually fly over monotonous clouds. Being transported by jet though the clouds like a package is anything but interesting. I prefer traveling by train or by ship, although it may take a longer time.

→「May as well+동사원형」=had better로서「~하는 게 더 낫다」라는 뜻이다. You (may as well) set to work at once.
→「날씨가 좋아지다」 the weather improves/ the weather gets better
(ANS) We may as well stay here till the weather improves.

◆ grateful, thankful, appreciative
I am grateful to you for a gift.(a kind word, your help).
I am thankful for good health(fair weather).
A secretary who was so appreciative of the opportunity for advancement offered to her that she worked overtime even when not asked to do so.
