Still, few expect that the summits will immediately solve many
political questions. However, the series of Chong Wa Dae meetings could
mark a turning point in the rival camps' relations as they move from
mutual confrontation to accommodation. The parties may come to
realize that the continuation of the partisan strife could deal a fatal blow
to both ruling and opposition parties, with the deepening popular distrust
of and antagonism to politicians.

The F.B.I. now contracts out some security checks on its own
employees, but the number is small, the bureau uses its own retired
agents and it maintains tight control over the outside work. The
economies promised under the Gore plan, presented as one of its main
selling points, are not certain. The government predicts a five-year
saving of $20 million. While the plan does shrink the Federal payroll
by 700 people and their benefit packages, the government will still
handle some of the work, creating the potential for duplication. The
initial contract is a three-year, sole-source, non-competitive agreement
with a work force that is experienced but untested in the private sector.

^^Of course, a similar pro-Pyongyang line was followed fully or partially
from the 1980s by its predecessors, Chondaehyop, Minmintu and other
radical anti-government opposition groups. However, Hanchongnyon is
quite different from these other radical opposition groups in the degree to
which it is prepared to resort to violent and militant action by its
members just like an organized militia, admittedly without guns and
swords, but equipped with souped-up firebombs, iron pipes and stones,
which can be lethal too.

To controvert your theory will require much time but it is essential that we disprove it.

A small piece of wood from a campfire flies onto some dry grass and goes unnoticed.
Within the first few minutes this small fire may still be controllable, but in no time at all it's grown beyond the capability of the campers to put it out.
It could take hundreds of fire fighters many days to extinguish this fire.
This is exactly true of solving our everyday problems.
What happens to a little problem that doesn't get resolved when it's little?
It gets bigger and bigger until it becomes a real problem that's going to require a lot of time, energy, and resources to be solved.

But, I sure know where I've been
Hanging on the promises
In songs of yesterday
An' I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time
(문법적으로는 I'm not going to waste time anymore.
But, here I go again
Here I go again
Tho' I keep searching for an answer
[tho=tho'=though]
I never seem to find what I'm looking for
Oh Lord, I pray
You give me strength to carry on
Cos I know what it means
[cos=because]
To walk along the lonely street of dreams
An' here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
An' I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time
I'm just another heart in need of rescue
Waiting on love's sweet charity
An' I'm gonna hold on
For the rest of my days
Cos I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams

The experiment was described in a paper presented to the Paris Academy
in 1894. Two sequences of twenty photographs each, one from the side and
one from behind, show a white cat in the act of righting itself. Grainy
and quaint though they are, the photos show that the cat was dropped
upside down, with no initial spin, and still landed on its feet. Careful
analysis of the photos reveals the secret ; As the cat rotates the front
of its body clockwise, the rear and tail twist counterclockwise, so that
the total spin remains zero, in perfect accord with Newton's laws.
Halfway down, the cat pulls in its legs before reversing its twist and
then extends them again, with the desired end result. The explanation
was that while no body can acquire spin without torque, a flexible one
can readily change its orientation, or phase. Cats know this
instinctively, but scientists could not be sure how it happened until
they increased the speed of their perceptions a thousandfold.

I play Al Pacino's butt. Alright?
He goes into the shower, and then- I'm his butt.
Oh my God.
/ C'mon, you guys.
This is a real movie, and Al Pacino's in it, and that's big!
Oh no, it's terrific, it's... it's... y'know, you deserve this, after all your years of struggling, you've finally been able to crack your way into showbusiness.
Okay, okay, fine! Make jokes, I don't care! This is a big break for me!

Hey Ross. This probably isn't the best time to bring it up, but you have to throw a party for Monica.

Lowell? Financial Services' Lowell, that's who you saw me with?
What? He's cute!
yeah... 's'no Brian in Payroll.
Is Brian...?
No! Uh, I d'know! The point is, if you were gonna set me up with someone, I'd like to think you'd set me up with someone like him.
Well, I think Brian's a little out of your league.
Excuse me? You don't think I could get a Brian?
Because I could get a Brian. Believe you me. ...I'm really not.

Now I'm depressed! ...Even more than I was.

Yoko. I've decided to go to Minsk without you.
It won't be the same- but it'll still be Minsk. Happy New Year.

You're going to Minsk.
No, I'm... not going to Minsk.
Oh, you are so going to Minsk. You belong in Minsk. You can't stay here just 'cause of me.
Yes I can. Because if I go it means I have to break up with you, and I can't break up with you.
Oh yes, yes, yes you can. Just say, um..
'Phoebe I love u, but my work is my life and that's what I have to do right now'. And I say 'your work?! Your work?! How can you say that?!'.
And then you say, um, 'it's tearing me apart, but I have no choice. Can't you understand that?'. And I say 'no! No! I can't understand that!'.

Well, it's a pretty big commitment, I mean, what if one of us wants to move out?
Why, are you moving out?
I'm not moving out.
You'd tell me if you were moving out right
Yeah, yeah, it's just that with my last roommate Kip...
Aw, I know all about Kip!
It's just that we bought a hibachi together, and then he ran off and got married, and things got pretty ugly.

Roger wants to take her out tomorrow night.
No!
Phoebes! Don't you remember why you dumped the guy?
'Cause he was creepy, and mean, and a little frightening alright,
still, it's nice to have a date on Valentine's Day!
But Phoebe, you can go out with a creepy guy any night of the year.
I know I do.

Thought you might have bailed.
Sit down.
Vodka or whiskey?
Ah, you go ahead.
Come on. You can be a good boy downstairs, not up here.
Seriously, I'm good.

- How long is this gonna take? - Why? Are we interrupting your social life?
- At least I have one. - Funny.
- Have you called Langley? - Sure did. Called the bureau too.

It was my decision, not yours.
I don't want you anywhere near me... or my family... ever again.
You have never needed me more than you need me now.
Get out.

Actually, I was getting ready to go somewhere.

I just wanted to come by and say hello, you know,
see how you guys a doing.
We're trying to move on. It's been pretty tough.
Yeah, I could only imagine.

The boys are in my class because I'm the only teacher who can handle them.
What if we separate the twins?
Put them in different classes?
They're much calmer when they're not bouncing off one another.
We can try that.
But if it doesn't work, we may no longer be able to accommodate them.

You want to borrow my car?
Just for a couple of hours.
Well, I'm not sure. Do you know how to drive a stick?
Yes, I think so. I learned in college.
It's like riding a bike, right?
I'm not sure, dear.
It's no big deal.
It's just for a couple of hours.
I let you borrow my eggs for a whole year.

I told Mike I expect him to have you home by 11:00.
Hmm. How about midnight?
All right, but no later. You know how I worry.
So, you, uh, got protection?
Oh, my god.
세상에
We are so not having this conversation.
We are, because I enjoy being an only child.

and he can't remember seeing you in that red dress?
It's still five more years.
You don't understand.

He'll be there, but he won't be Jorge.

You know, why did she put this off for so long?
And why did you let her?
Doesn't it strike you as slightly irresponsible?
I mean, what the hell is wrong with you people?!

I mean, I never do anything till the last possible minute.

She probably wouldn't go out with me, anyway, but...
how do I know that for sure if I... don't ever ask?
Seriously? You're equating your pathetic love life with my record-breaking tumor?
Seriously?

Where are you?
I can see his heart. His heart that’s not beating.
Okay. Open the pericardium and aspirate. If the heart’s still not beating, close and call it.

no, he really doesn't want the office to know anything.

Hey, I've been meaning to ask you, how's the dating going?

Where the fuck have you been?
- Like I said, it's been-- - You don't know how to use a phone?
I might have a concussion, but still, I'm sorry.
You're sorry? All right, in that case, I totally forgive you

I appreciate that.

You stood me up on Valentine's Day,
which is 1,000 times worse than a regular stand up.
- I didn't stand you up. - Yes, you did.
Yes, I did. But I have presents.
And I wrote you a card.
"From the desk of James Harper."

- Will knows we're doing this? - Of course.
- And he's okay with it? - No, he hates it.
- Fantastic. - Go to work.
- Have you done this before? - Yeah.

He was credited on a country album as a guitarist.

He got a C-minus in Sociology of Emotion.
It was a clerical mistake. He never registered for the class.
- Then a C-minus is pretty good. - I need something I can use.

See?
Ah.
아!
- I got you a little upset. - Yes.
So once they were hooked on telling me how stupid I am,
- I steered things in your direction. - How?
- You really want to know? - No.
- Good. - Tell me anyway.

What are you trying to say?
Nothing. I'm sorry.
What are you trying to say?
In a year you've gone nowhere.
- Wait, that's-- - This is exactly what it was like

- Do you? - Yes.
- Maggie-- - Stop.
- It's hard to watch you-- - It's hard to watch you!

I'm with Lisa.
I know.
알아
And you're with Don.
I don't know if I want to be.
If Don had committed to you?
- He didn't. - But if he did?
Then neither of us would be standing here.
You should get some sleep.

I have to talk to Don.

He's not very kind, but I like him all the same.
all the same=just the same(그래도)
= He is not very kind; still, I like him.

Half a loaf is better than none.
Little is better than

[John's Diary]
It felt like a typical cool autumn day this morning. Thanks
to last night's rain, the sky was high and the morning air
was real fresh and moist. Never did I think getting up early
would feel this good. Again, I couldn't hear the next door
mutt barking his head off. Maybe the owner decided it was
time to eat old spot to mark the dog days of summer.
Tsk...Tsk... Poor mongrel. Jill and I would see the first
showing of Neo Killer II. I had plenty of time left, but I'd
better hurry not to be late again.

표현이 never did I ~식의 부정 도치구문이지요.
Never did I dream you'd love me too.
I never dreamed you'd love me too.
