모기에 물린 곳을 가만두지 못하는 이이들이 있다. 긁어대고,침바르고,꼬
집고,쥐어짜다 보면 벌겋게 부어오르기 시작하고 결국 곪아서 커다랗게 종기
가 생기기까지 한다. 터질 듯하게 부어오른 종기의 꼭대기를 'head'라고 하
는데,'come to a head'라고 표현하면 「종기가 곪아서 터질 듯하다」는 의
미를 가지게 된다.
Mom:Tommy, please don't scratch the mosquito bite on your head.

◆ fear, fright, scare, dread
fear : '공포'를 나타내는 가장 일반적인 말로, 마음이 불안하거나 또는 용기가 없음을 나타낸다.
