이날 뉴욕상업거래소(NYMEX)에서 4월 인도분 서부 텍사스산 원유(WTI)는 배럴당 3.0% 내린 49.90달러에 거래를 마치며 50달러대가 무너졌다.
On the same day, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for April delivery fell 3.0% per barrel to $49.90 on the New York Mercantile Exchange, breaking the $50 mark.

미국 서부 텍사스산 원유(WTI) 선물 가격이 마이너스로 떨어지면서 HTS가 이를 인식하지 못해 발생한 상황인 것으로 알려졌다.
As the future price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell negatively, it was reported that it happened because the HTS did not recognize it.

다만 국제벤치마크인 런던 ICE 선물거래소의 5월물 브렌트유는 11.24% 하락한 25.50달러에 거래되며 WTI에 비해서는 낙폭이 제한됐다.
However, the May Brent crude of the London ICE Futures Exchange, an international benchmark, was traded at $25.50, down 11.24%, with a limited fall compared to the WTI.

KODEX WTI원유선물인버스가 110.56% 상승해 1위를 기록했고 TIGER 원유선물인버스가 110.55%로 그 뒤를 이었다.
KODEX WTI Futures Bus rose 110.56% to top the list, followed by TIGER crude oil futures Inverse with 110.55%.

증권 업계의 한 관계자는 "WTI 관련 펀드들은 수익률이 크게 저조하다"면서도 "향후 단기 반등을 기대하기는 힘들지만 생산 원가를 감안하면 현재 수준에서 더 하락할 여지가 많지 않다는 전망 때문에 투자수요가 여전하다"고 말했다.
An official from the securities industry said, "WTI-related funds have a very low rate of return," but added, "Even though it is hard to anticipate for a short-term rebound in the future, investment demand remains unchanged because of the prospect that there is not much room for the further decline from the current level when considering production costs."

반면 '삼성 레버리지 WTI원유 선물 ETN' 등 이 상품과 기초자산이 동일한 다른 ETN은 일제히 5∼6%가량 떨어졌다.
On the other hand, other ETN with the same underlying assets as this product such as "Samsung Leverage WTI Raw Oil Futures ETN" fell by 5 to 6% in unison.
