I am a young man who has the world ahead me.

Who am I speaking to?

If only(or I wish)I had a million dollars.
If only(or I wish)I had my draft notice(징집영장), I could prove who I am
If only(or I wish)someone could help.
If only(or I wish)I were rich like you.
If only(or I wish)I were handsome like you.

May I ask who am I talking with?

Who am I speaking with?

Who am I supposed to see?

A : Look who's here!
B : Hite, what are U doin' here?
A : Oh! Podong, WHAT A SMALL WORLD!
B : Boy, am I glad 2 see U again!
A : Me, too. It's been almost 3 years since W last met in Pusan.
B : Yeah! How time flies! Let's not just stand here.
Let's go someplace & have a drink...
A : Surely...
A : 나도 그래.
A : 그러지...

What was I supposed to do?
Who am I supposed to meet?
You were supposed to be here by three.
Why don't you come?
*be supposed to-:-하기로 예정되어 있다.

Q : Guess what ?
* Guess what what do I have in my pocket?
* A : What is it tell me ?
B : Guess what.
= Have a Guess.
* Guess who ?
* Guess how ?
* Guess why ?
* Guess How much ?
* Guess How old I am ?

Do you have any idea who I am?

Guess who I am?

I lose perspective of who I am.

You will wonder who I am.

I'm afraid you have the wrong person.
= You must have mistaken me for someone else.
= I'm not who you think I am.

skeptic 의심많은 사람; 회의론자 (doubter; person who suspends judgment until he
has examined the evidence supporting a point of view )
In this matter, I am a skeptic; I want proof.

I am sure you are not the only boy in your class who doesn't have his ears pierced.

T : The classroom is messy. Who is the monitor?
S1 : I am.
T : Please clean the blackboard with a dump rag. We're running out of chalk.
S1 : I will go to the teachers' room and bring you some chalk.
T : Just a few minutes ago, I watched someone hit the eraser against the wall. Please don't do that.
S2 : It's very stuffy in here. May I open the door?
T : Sure. Go ahead.

S1 : What game is it today?
T : A guessing game. First of all, let's make teams. Any good idea?
S2 : Rocks-papers-scissors.
T : Anyone who wins is team "A." The others are team "B." Sounds good?
S1 : Why not?
T : Then, play rocks-papers-scissors with your partner. Are you finished?
S1 : Yes.
T : Now listen carefully to what I am saying and guess the word. Do you understand?
S1 : Of course. I'm sure I'll know the answer.
T : Great! Today team "A" won the guessing game 4 to 1. Congratulations!

S1 : Let's take a break.
S2 : What? Take a break? You haven't even learned your lines by heart yet.
We should practice at least for another hour before we take a break.
S3 : Excuse me. I am sorry to say this, but I can't practice any longer. My father wants me to come home early.
S2 : You can't go. You've got to stay. No excuses. Who can play your part? It's too late to find a substitute.
You can practice on your own during breaks. So-ra! I can't even hear your voice. Speak louder and clearer.
S4 : Okay.
S2 : Have you forgotten your role is female? Speak like a woman.

I am not in a mood to take such paternal advice from someone who is barely two years older than I am!

Only someone who has suffered from bursitis can fully commiserate with me when I am in the throes of an acute attack.

The last time I went out for breakfast, I had to choose among ten types of pancakes, six varieties of juice, and four kinds of potatoes.
To my surprise, my wife and children love all this.
They love going into an ice cream shop and being able to choose among seventy-five flavors of ice cream and seventy-five flavors of topping to put on them.
For my part, I increasingly find that I miss simplicity.
Faced with a glass case filled with eighteen types of coffee, I just wish for a nice cup of tea.
I'm afraid I am the only person in the house who feels that way.

Hours passed.
Everything was still and quiet.
It was a battle of wills between the monkey king and the unknown monster whose existence the former had assumed.
It was the monster who gave way first.
Unable to restrain his greed, he popped up from the center of the lake and said in a loud voice,
“Why don't you drink? I am the guardian of this lake.
I tell you that the water is pure, refreshing, cool, and sweet.
Drink, my friends, drink.”
No, my good fellow,” replied the king, “your wishes will not be fulfilled in the way that you want.”
“What do you mean?” asked the monster.
“You won't be able to catch us.
We will drink the water of the lake and yet not fall into your trap.”
“How will you do that?” shouted the monster, amused at the monkey king's boldness.
“You will see,” replied the monkey king.
The monkeys then plucked long reeds from the marshes and drank the water through the reeds.
Frustrated, the monster disappeared back into the water.
The monkey king's cautious approach kept his troop from falling a prey to the cruel being's plot.

DEAR ABBY: I'm 22, with two children, ages 3 and 4.
I'm divorced for the second time.
I have been dating a man who is 52 years old.
He is financially very well-off and wants to marry me.
He treats me very well and cares for my children.
Abby, do you think marriage between a 52-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman could ever work out?
I like him a lot, but I am not what you would call madly in love with him.
I was madly in love with my first two husbands, and they both treated me like dirt.
I haven't made any promises yet, and this man is not pressuring me, but I need your advice.
What do you think it takes to make a marriage work ?
TWO-TIME LOSER
DEAR T.T.L.: Don't marry anyone while you are still seeking advice.
All that is necessary for a marriage to succeed is for two people to really
need each other.

"Why should I study English?" objected a rebellious youth. "I know English I am
English."
But not everyone who is studying English really knows English, nor is knowing all
of the same kind. A professional ball player may know how to pitch a curve. A physicist
may know the same thing, but he will know it in quite a different way. His way of knowing
will be better, if he spent as much time in practice as the professional player, in all
likelihood he could pitch a better curve. In other words, analytic knowledge is an aid
and support to experimental knowledge.

Memory-training courses are much in vogue nowadays, and it seems to be taken
for granted that the more things we remember, the happier we are.
The pleasures of memory must certainly be rated high, but I am sure
forgetfulness also plays a part in making human beings happy.
Macbeth and Lady Macbeth would have given a good deal to be able to forget
the murder of Duncan, and many a politician has longed to be allowed to
forget his election pledges.
Some of the unhappiest people in the world are those who cannot forget
injuries inflicted on them in the past. Others are equally miserable, because
they cannot forget wrongs they have done others.
Human beings are so constituted, indeed, that they forget the things they
would like to remember, and remember the things they would prefer to forget.
The memory should be trained, I think, to overcome both those weaknesses.

Several neighbors had gathered for dinner, and the conversation turned to
pets. Our hostess commented that she had the dumbest dog ever.
"Any dog that digs up the same rosebush 20 times has to be pretty dumb,"
she said. Everyone seemed to agree, until the 75-year-old grandmother
of the neighborhood remarked, "I'm not too surprised at the dog, but
I am a little concerned about the person who planted the rosebush that
many times."

There is nobody but has some sense of humor, and in this respect Lincoln
was the most outstanding. He made the best use of humor wherever he
needed it. One day he was stopped on a street by a man, who thrust a gun
in his face.
"What seems to be the matter?" asked Lincoln.
"I have sworn an oath that I will shoot an uglier man than I," was the
man's answer. Then Lincoln said, "Shoot me, then, for if I am an uglier
man than you, I don't want to live."

*for my part 나로서는 as far as I am concerned; speaking for myself:
For my part, I don't care who wins.

A young lady dismissed the young man to whom she was engaged because he drank.
A few days after she had told him she would never speak to him again, a little
boy brought a note from the wretched young man.
The note read this: "Faithless, yet still beloved Fanny! My sufferings are
more than I can bear. I cannot live without your love. I have therefore just
taken poison, the effect of which I am now beginning to feel. When you read
these lines, I shall have joined the great majority. See that I am decently
buried, and shed a silent tear over my tomb in remembrance of the days gone
by―Your dead George."
When the young lady had finished reading the note, she asked the boy who had
brought it what he was waiting for.
"The gentleman who sent it told me to wait for an answer," was the reply.

A common belief is that if we find someone who likes to do the same
things we do, then we will get along and we will be happy. Participating
in activities together is a great start for relationships; however, I am
sure you know people who like to do the same things but who don't get
along. This is true with individuals who belong to the same social
groups, companies, and teams, as well as other organizations. Obviously,
it is not a common interest one that creates harmonious relationships.

By the time I started middle school, I realized that most of my fellow
students had the idea that we Asian students are all smart. It's true
that some are. But what about those of us who aren't? Having to act like
a brain can be a pain. My classmates come to me for answers, but I
sometimes can't help them. Then they look at me strangely. If I were a
genius, I would not mind being treated like one. But since I am not, I
do.

- Sweet Dreams
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Hold your head up
Keep your head up moving on
Hold your head up moving on

Logical song -
Tell me what we've learn.
Tell me who I am.

Sailing
Rod Stwert
I am sailing I am sailing
Home again 'cross the sea
I am sailing salty waters
To be near you to be free
-
I am flying I am flying
Like a bird 'cross the sky
I am flying passing high clouds
To be with you to be free
-
**
Can you hear me can you hear me
Through the dark night far away
I am dying forever crying
To be with you who can say
-
** repeat
-
We are sailing we are sailing
Home again 'cross the sea
We are sailing salty waters
To be near you to be free
Oh Lord to be near you to be free
Oh Lord to be near you to be free
Oh Lord to be near you to be free
Oh Lord...

Today
John Denver
** Repeat
Today while the blossom still cling the vine
I'll taste your strawberries,
I'll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
Ere I'll forget all the joy that is mine today
Today
-
I'll be a dandy I'll be a rover,
You'll know who I am by the song that I sing
I'll feast at your table,
I'll sleep your clover
Who cares what the morrow shall I bring
-
** Repeat
-
I can't be contented with yesterday's glory,
I can't live on promises winter to spring
Today is my moment and now is my story
I'll laugh and I'll cry, I'll sing Today

** Repeat twice
-

**

Tom's diner
Suzanne Vega
I am sitting in the morning
At the diner on the corner
I am waiting at the counter
For the man to pour the coffee
And he fills it only halfway
And before I even argue
He is looking out the window
at somebody coming in
-
"It is always nice to see you"
Says the man behind the counter
To the woman who has come in
she is shaking her umbrella
And I look the other way
As they are kissing their hellos
And I'm pretending not to see them
And instead I pour the milk
-
I open up the paper
There's a story of a actor
Who has died while he was drinking
It was no one I had heard of
And I'm turning to the horoscope
And looking for the funnies
-
When I'm feeling someone watching me
And so I raise my head
-
There's a woman on the outside looking inside
Does she see me
No she does not really see me
'Cause she sees her own reflection
And I'm trying not to notice
That she's hitching up her skirt
And while she's straightening her stockings
Her hair is getting wet
-
Oh, this rain
It will continue through the morning
As I'm listening to the bells of the cathedral
I'm thinking of your voice
And of the midnight picnic
Once upon a time before the rain began
And I finish up my coffee
And It's time to catch the train

ALONE AGAIN
Gilbert O'sullivan
To think that only yesterday
I was cheerful bright and gay
Looking forward to, well who wouldn't do,
the roll I was about to play
But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch
cut me into little pieces
Leaving me to doubt talk about God in his mercy
Who if he really does exeist
Why did he desert me in my hour of need
I truely am indeed alone again naturally

To Sir With Love -- LuLu
Those school girl days
Of telling tales and biting nails are gone
But in my mind
I know they will still live on and on
But how do you thank someone
Who has taken you from crayons to perfume
It isn't easy but I'll try
If you wanted the sky
I would write across the sky in letters
That would soar a thousand feet high
To sir with love
The time has come
For closing books and long last looks must end
And as I leave
I know that I am leaving my best friend
A friend who taught me right from wrong
And weak from strong
That's a lot to learn
What what can I give you in return
If you wanted the moon
I would try to make a start
But I would rather you let me give my heart
To sir with love

Police stopped a driver who had not reported an accident. The man said
he had no knowledge about backing his car into another car, which was
not moving, and setting off the burglar alarm. ‘I am a music lover. I
was listening to a Mozart concerto on the car radio. I thought the alarm
was simply a badly played note.’ Fortunately, the judge was a music
lover too. He let the driver go.

'Why am I doing this, and who am I doing this for?'

who am I gonna ask?

Oh my God. It's true! Who am I?

Pants and a sweater? Why, mom? Who am I gonna meet in a blackout?

Oooh, c'mon, shut up, it's fun. Gimme a hug. Well, I think we're ready for some tequila.
I know I am.
Who's doing shots?
I'm in.
There y'go. Ross?
Uh, I'm not really a shot drinking kinda guy.

Ok, ok, Roger was creepy, but he was nothing compared to Pete Carney.
Which one was Pete Carney?
Pete the Weeper?
Remember that guy who used to cry every time we had sex.
"Was it good for you?"
Yeah, well, I'll take a little crying any day over
Howard-the-'I-win'-guy.
"I win! I win!"
I went out with the guy for two months, I didn't get to win once.
How did we end up with these jerks?
Maybe we're some kinda magnets.
I know I am.
That's why I can't wear a digital watch.

I had a dream last night where I was playing football with my kid.
That's nice.
No, no, with him.
I'm on this field, and they, they hike me the baby
And I, I know I've gotta do something 'cause the Tampa Bay defence is comin' right at me.
And I, I know I've gotta do something 'cause the Tampa Bay defence is comin' right at me.
Tampa Bay's got a terrible team.
Tampa Bay
Right, but, it is just me and the baby, so I'm thinkin' they can take us.
And so I uh, hah-hah, I just heave it down field.
What are you crazy? That's a baby!
He should take the sack?
Anyway, suddenly I'm down field,
and I realise that I'm the one who's supposed to catch him, right?
Only I know there is no way I'm gonna get there in time,
So I am running, and running, and that, that is when I woke up.
See I, I am so not ready to be a father.
Hey, you're gonna be fine.
You're one of the most caring, most responsible men in North America.
You're gonna make a great dad.
Yeah, Ross.
You and the baby just need better blocking.

I think that one was Ross's, and I think oh! that one was Ross's. Yes!
Well, I have got your money, and you'll never see it...
And your fly's still open...
Ha, I made you look....
- I couldn't be inner. Monica?
- Monica, in or out?
I hate this game!
OK Joey, your bet.
Ahhh, I fold like a cheap hooker who got hit in the stomach by a fat guy with sores on his face.
Oh, I'm out.
Ross?
Oh, I am very in.
Chandler?
- Couldn't be more out.
- Me too. Rachel.
Uh, I will see you... and I'll raise you.
What do you say... want to waste another buck?
- No, not this time. So... what'd you have?
- I'm not telling.
- Show them to me!
- Get your hands out of there! No!

So which Zoe Barnes am I to trust?
The one who wrote about the fireman that married the meter maid?
Or the one who authored a very fine article
on a new jogging path in Rock Creek Park.
Don't be flattered. I read everything.

I know you're upset, Peter, but that's not going to achieve anything.
I am more than upset, Frank.
Change your tone. I'm in no mood.
I don't give a fuck!
Goodbye, Peter.
