* I mean it. 과 비슷한 뜻으로 I mean business.

Everyone has a skeleton in his closet.
Dust anyone and you will see some dirt.
Don't say that unless you want to do her dirt.

Thank you for your business.
I want your business(with us)라고 하면 '난 당신과 거래를 하고
쓸데없이 남의 일에 참견하는 사람을 보고 keep out of this.
This is none of your business.
No admittance except on business
have no business to∼와 같은 형식으로 쓰인다.
You have no business to tell me what to do with my money
When I say I will do it, I mean business라 하면

I want your help badly!
Do you want to marry her that bad?

I want to return your favor
get even또는 make(someone) pay for something이라고 표현한다.
Someday I'll get even with you.

What do you think the most important thing in the world is?
What is the best word to describe yourself?

Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.
The first story is about connecting the dots.

Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept:
No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there.
And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it.
And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life.

And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

I want my cat spayed.
I want my cat neutered.
-
to play cat and mouse는 기억나시죠?
cat and mouse라고 하면
It's a real game of cat and mouse
between the multinationals and the small independent companies.
-
While the cat's away, the mice will play.
-
Cat got your tongue?
Why aren't you answering me? Cat got your tongue?
-
to let the cat out of the bag이라고 하면 자루에서 고양이를 풀어 놓다이므로
He let the cat out of the bag when he mentioned the party to her
- it was supposed to be a surprise.
to keep ∼ under your hat은 모자 속에 숨기는 것이니까
to keep ∼ in the bag은 자루 속에 있는 것이니까
one's lips are sealed.
-
a cat on a hot tin roof는
She's been like a cat on a hot tin roof ever since she heard he's back in town.
-
something the cat dragged in은
You look like something the cat brought in-go and have a bath.

영화 Back to the Future에서 주인공(Michael J. Fox)이 자주 들었던 욕입니다.
You chicken! Come back here.
He chickened out as soon as he saw me.
Don't be chicken-hearted when you have to fight against enemy.

I may be a spring chicken, but I am doing my best.
Look at that chick. She is a knock-out.

I can beat you in one-on-one.
They were trying to beat the deadline.
-
Beats me!
-
to beat around the bush는 bush(숲)의 around(주위)만 때리는 거니까
Stop beating around the bush. Get to the point.
Why do I have to beat myself up?
I'm dead beat.
-
라고 할 때 Beat it!
I don't want your advice! Just beat it!

Tom :
Tom, Dick, and Harry
You don't want to marry any Tom, Dick, or Harry, do you?
Peeping Tom '
Mister Tom
Oreo
Uncle Tom
Uncle Tom's Cabin
Tomboy
Blind Tom blind

Mr. what's-his-name
Doctor what's-his-name said I'll be out in a couple of days.
참 그러니까 whodunit이 생각나네요. who done it?
We want to sell under our brand name.
Real-Name (Financial) System
-
in the name of father이죠.
in the name of ∼라고 하면 '∼라는 이름을 걸고',
결국 in the name of father은 '아버지를 위하여'입니다.
You don't need for name-calling.
make a name for ∼는 ∼라는 이름을 만드는 거니까 '유명해지다.'
have a name for ∼는 ∼라는 이름을 가지는 거니까 '유명하다'
The firm has a name for good workmanship.
What name is it under?
There's no one by that name.

Print your name.
I don't go by that name anymore.

=Would you like how to learn to tango ?
=Do you want to learn to tango ?

============
와 영어의 'Yes/No.'
---------------------------------------
1. T.B. : Don't you want to go see a move ?
S.H. : Yes,(I don't).
2. E.Y. : Did you go to the party ?
S.L. : No,(I did).
3. J.S. : Can't he go to the party ?
J.Y. : Yes,(he can't).
부정이면 "No."

Whatever you want.
=Whatever you think.
=Whatever you choose.
=It's up to you.
=It depends on you.

SW : Yes..hurry home, princess.
We woudn't want to miss old daddy's celebration now, would we?
Celebration, indeed. Bah!
In my day, we'd have fantastical feasts
when I lived in the palace.
And now look at me.
Wasted away to practically nothing.
Banished and exciled and practically starving.
While he and his flimsy fish folk celebrate.
Well, I'll give him something to celebrate soon enough.
Flotsam! Jetsam!
I want you to keep an extra close watch
on this pretty little daughter of his.
She maybe the key to Triton's undoing.
Flotsam! Jetsam! <-
keep an extra close watch 란 말과,

- A - 겁쟁이 노란색
" He doesn't want to fight. Look! He's yellow.
" Don't be chicken-hearted when you have to fight
against enemy.
'to be yellow' , 'to be coward' , 'to be a chicken'
