It is surprising how many times our feelings of despair and anger can be
eased if we act instead of just thinking over problems. Play and work are
healthy actions, relieving the tensions produced by our emotional upsets.
Play is physically restful and relieves tensions as we share our emotions
with others. Work, too, is an effective means of working off anger and
using overflowing energy. Sometimes, ideas come as we begins to act.
Action relieves tensions and sets us free.

The Ashanti people in Africa name their children according to the day of
the week on which they are born. They believe that Monday boys are quiet

true. Monday boys are less frequently fighting than chance would have it,
while Wednesday boy are more likely to quarrel. This finding suggests
that names can have a powerful effect upon personal behavior.

「가슴속에서 끄집어 내라」라는 식의 get if off
A:You look upset. What's the matter with you?
B:Nothing special.
A:Get it off your chest. It doesn't pay to worry about anything by yourself.
B:Well, I have to pay the rent today, but I'm a little low.
A:I can lend you some money. How much do you need?
B:$500 would be enough.
A:No problem. By the way, I've come here to find out if you become
interested in my suggestion.
B:Actually, my dog is part of my family, so I can't think of selling
it to you.
A:문제없습니다.

Nancy:Why didn't you come to Jane's wedding? Were you busy?
Linda:Never! All I have is time you know!
Nancy:I think you're a little sarcastic, aren't you? Are you a
little upset?
Linda:Yep! I felt left out in the cold when I was not invited to the
wedding.
Nancy:Didn't Jane send you an invitation?
Linda:That's what I'm talking about.
Linda's Son:Mom, don't I look like a batman?
Nancy:Yes, you do look like a batman with a mask on.
Linda:Wait. This mask is made out of an invitation card!
