Railroads were the unchallenged leader in transportation for a hundred

the use of trains. Almost all railroads face serious problems that

form of transportation that has much to offer when the world is concerned
about saving fuel.

should not be overstressed. Whereas painting has been richer and more
adventurous, its leadership as an art form has not remained unchallenged, and
sculpture has often followed different paths.
