The plan terminates the government jobs of 700 workers in the Office
of Federal Investigations, part of the Office of Personnel Management.
On Monday morning, those same workers will be the employee-owners
of the private United States Investigation Service, under contract to
continue checking backgrounds for the Energy and Treasury
Departments, the Immigration and Naturalization Service and other
Federal agencies. The administration boasts this is the first
employee-owned company to be spun off from the Federal Government.
이 계획으로 인사관리처(Office of Personnel Management)산하의 연방 수
사대(Office of Federal Investigations)직원 700명의 직원들의 일자리가 없어

An official from Samsung Electronics said, "We have never considered the spin-off of the foundry division."

South Korea will speed up its move to spin off units of Korea Electric
Power Corp. and sell them off at any cost, Commerce, Industry and Energy
Minister Chung Duck-koo said Thursday.
정덕구 산업자원부장관은 2일 기자들과 만나 "한국전력의 분할 매각을 통한
민영화는 어떠한 대가를 치르더라도 조속히 추진돼야 한다''면서 관련 전
력산업 구조개편 관련법의 이번 정기국회 회기내 통과 필요성을 역설했다.

The composite index finished 7.65 lower at 743.49.
종합지수는 7.65% 하락한 채 마감했다.
Hyundai Motor, the country's largest carmaker, rose 3.2 percent
to Won17,550, off a high of Won19,050 as expectations grew
for its spin-off from the troubled Hyundai Group.
현대차가 그룹으로부터 분리될 거라는 예상이 무르익어 감에 따라
그 주가는 3.2% 상승했다.
Samsung Electronics finished 0.3 per cent higher at Won322,000.
삼성전자는 0.3% 상승하였다.
