Tired of talking to my son about emptying his pockets before washday,

외국 여행을 많이 하는 사람은 집에만 있는 사람보다 많은 것을 보지만,
그렇다고 해서 그가 본 것을 재미있게 말할 수 있거나, 더 현명한 사람이
되는 것은 아니다.
Everybody in the world is seeking happiness―and there is one sure way
to find it. That is by controlling your thoughts. Happiness doesn't
depend on outer conditions. It depends on inner conditions.
It isn't what you have or what you are or where you are or what you are
doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.
For example, two people may be in the same place, doing the same thing;
both may have about an equal amount of money and prestige―and yet one
may be miserable and the other happy. Why? Because of a different mental
attitude. I saw just as many happy faces among the Chinese coolies
sweating and toiling in the devastating heat of China for seven cents
a day as I see on Park Avenue.

up their minds to be."

What about motion that is too slow to be seen by the human eye? That
problem has been solved by the use of the time-lapse camera. In this one,
the shutter is geared to take only one shot per second, or one per
minutes, or even per hour depending upon the kind of movement that is
being photographed. When the time-lapse film is projected at the normal
speed of twenty-four pictures per second, it is possible to see a bean
sprout growing up out of the ground. Time-lapse films are useful in the
study of many types of motion too slow to be observed by the unaided,
human eye.

Mr. Jackson began to forget things, and this made his work very
difficult. He got so worried that one day he went to see Dr. Smith. The
