"Talking" birds such as parrots are capable of faithfully reproducing words and phrases of human language that they have heard; but when a parrot says "Polly wants a cracker," she may really want a ham sandwich or a drink of water or nothing at all.
A bird that has learned to say "hello" or "goodbye" is as likely to use one as the other, regardless of whether people are arriving or departing.
The bird's utterances carry no meaning.
They are speaking neither English nor their own language when they sound like us.

A businessman was dining at a fancy restaurant and, so the story goes, met
Lee Iacocca by the phone booth. "Mr. Iacocca," he exclaimed, "the American
business hero! I've studied your career, and any success I've had comes
from trying to do as well as you. Would you do me a favor? I'm with some
colleagues. Please come by my table, say 'Hello, Harry,' and let me
introduce you. It would mean so much to me."
Iacocca agreed. He waited for the man to sit down and then walked toward
his table.
"Holy smoke!" cried one of Harry's friends. "It's Lee Iacocca, and he's
heading this way!"
"Hello, Harry!" Iacocca said. "Introduce me to your friends."
Harry looked at him blankly "Come back later, Lee," he said. "We're trying
to have lunch."

What about the birds?

You pick one.
All right, how about the ladybugs?
Oh, so, forget about the birds, but big red insects suggest fine dining!
Fine, you want to get the birds, get the birds!

We're gonna have to talk to him for a minute.
You police, coming here with your attack dogs.
Actually, they're scent dogs,
and I'm not a police officer.

Actually, I was getting ready to go somewhere.
I just wanted to come by and say hello, you know,

Hello?
- What was that? - I don't know.
You should probably say a few words.
- Really? - Yeah.
- What do I say? - What do you want to say?
"Please get out of my home"?
Everyone, Will wants to say a few words.
I really don't. But here you all are

Bon voyage!
Please give my best
regards (wishes) to ~ 라고 합니다.
It's time for me to be going.
또는 It's time I were going. Bon voyage는
프랑스어에서 나온 어구로서 goodbye, have a nice trip이라는
Dialogue
LEAVING KOREA
Mr. Lee: I think your trip to Korea has been very fruitful,
not only for yourself but for our entire mutual relationship.
Mr. West: Yes, it has. This month has passed so quickly. The
schedule was tight, but I was able to enjoy my stay
immensely, thanks to you.
M. Lee: I'm glad to hear that. As you know, I may have to
visit you in the near future, and, if I do, I'd like to meet
Mrs. West too. Please give her my best regards.
Mr. West: Thank you. I think it's time to board the plane.
Thanks again, for all you did for me. Goodbye, Mr. Lee.
Mr. Lee: Goodbye, and bon voyage!

A: Hello. May I speak to Mr. Lee?
B: I'm sorry. I can't hear you. Can you speak louder, please?

Anna : I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU.
Kate : Small town. Not a lot of places to look.
Anna : Well, I've found quite a few. You know,
TOM HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE GONNA LEAVE.
Actually, he was trying to help.
And a lot of people would have tried to help but they got
scared.
Kate : They didn't even say good-bye.
Anna : (케이트의 어깨를 감싸 안으며) I know.
Sorry.
Kate : That's how you know they're not coming back.

Say hello to baby bear. /
This is bunny./
She wants to talk to you./너랑 애기하고 싶대.

A : 못 온다고?
Just give your family my love.
“Give your family my love.”나 “Give your family my best regards.” “Remember me to your family.”도 가족들에게 안부를 전해 달라는 말, 그러나 좀더 친근하고 허물없는 사이라면 “Say hello[hi] to your family for me.” 또는 “Tell your family I said hello.”
A : You can’t come?
B : I really want to, but something urgent came up.
A : But my family is really looking forward to seeing you. Is it that important?
B : I feel awful. Just give your family my love.

I just stopped by to say hello.
