one's sleeve, words of one syllable, open heart, open one's heart, open up,
right out, straight out, say the word, speak one's mind, straight from the

Let's talk about the baby. Was that hard, to pull it off? You tried for a long time, right?
We tried for six years to have a baby. And I've said it, but I cannot put it in other words than that.

Planning is important, but it is action that gets things done.
If you just plan to lose weight, or just plan to start a business, it never happens.
The way to make things happen is to take action.
Find something you can do right now, today, and that will bring you closer to your goal.
Don't put it off until the time is right.
No matter how unimportant your action may seem, it makes you start in the right direction.
Continue taking action every day and you start to gain momentum.

We probably all have discovered, at some time or another in our lives, the treasure hidden beneath a seeming misfortune, the silver lining behind the cloud, the blessing in disguise.
Through a relationship that doesn't work out, we accidentally meet the person who's right for us.

We get laid off from a job, only to find another that was far better suited to our talents and needs.
We break a leg, end up in the hospital for two weeks, and are able to catch up on all the reading, resting and visiting that we'd never had time for until our "terrible" accident.

Robert's friends made fun of him because he could not ride a bike. So,
Robert wanted to learn how to do it. One afternoon he asked his big
brother to teach him. His brother held the bike from behind, and Robert
soon became confident. Right after his brother took his hands off the
bike, though. he could not balance himself and fell. After the fall.
Robert got up and tried again. The same thing happened again and again,
which hurt him. However, Robert kept trying and finally learned to ride a
bike.

A few weeks ago at a large theater I turned to my wife and said, "The
picture is out of focus." "Be quiet," she answered. I obeyed. But a few
minutes later I raised the point again, with growing impatience. "It will
be all right in a minutes," she said in a low voice not to disturb the
audience around. I waited. It was just out of focus -- not glaringly out,
but out. So after bothering my wife throughout the first part of the
movie, I finally prevailed upon her to admit it was off, and very
annoying.

It was a math class. The day's lesson was on how to count. "All right,
Jack,"the teacher said to the first grader. "Let's see you count."
Holding out his hand, Jack counted off the numbers. "One, two, three,
four, five."Smiling, the teacher said, "Very good, but can you count any
higher ?" Jack was very glad to do it again in front of everyone.
Lifting his hand high over his head, the boy counted off the same numbers
without changing his voice. After Jack finished, the teacher said, "No,
Jack. I mean, continue counting from six."
Jack.

My mother hadn't seen my dad in four years of war. In my mind, he was a
tall, darkly handsome man I wanted very much to love me. I couldn't wait,
thinking about all the things I had to tell him of school and grades. At
last, a car pulled up, and a large man with a beard jumped out. Before he
could reach the door, my mother and I ran out screaming. She threw her
arms around his neck, and he took me in his arms, lifting me right off
the ground.

Can't Take my eyes off of you
Morten Harket
**
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you
You'd be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much
At long last love has arrived
I think God I'm alive
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you

Pardon the way that I stare
There's nothing else to compare
The sight of you leaves me weak
There are no words left to speak
But If you feel like I feel
Please let me know that it's a real
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you

Uh, that's definitely a, uh, valid question. And, uh, the answer would be.. yes. Yes I was.

Don't humiliate the administration, Frank. You're part of it now.
- Yes, sir.
- We're done.
Thank you, Mr. President.

It's just that mother-teenage daughter thing.
Maybe we should talk to her right now.
Tell her she can't play us off each other, that if she's insulting you, she's insulting me too.

- CTU. Nina Myers. - Hi. Nina, it's Teri Bauer.
- Is Jack there? - Teri, Jack's not here.
He turned his phone off. I wonder if you could help me.
Sure. What do you need?
I need the name and number of the owner of a furniture store in the valley, Van Nuys.
Uh, Paladio's Furniture.
That's not really something I should do. Can it wait till I talk to Jack?
No, not really. Um... Nina, it's Kim. She took off with some kids I don't know.
One of the boys, Dan, works here. I was hoping to contact the owner.
All right, give me a couple minutes. I'll see what I can do. What's your cell number?

This is good work. Keep me informed. Thank you.
Shut the door.
- Are we saying Nina's a traitor? - Not yet. We need to know more.
Should I shut down her confidential access?
No, that'll slow everything down. There's gotta be some kind of explanation for this.
Right now what I really need is the data off that card.
But aren't we obligated to seal off her channels with this much evidence?

Really? Good. I'm on my way.
Seems our boy's surfaced. His name popped up on a police frequency.
- Not that I'm surprised.
- Is he in trouble?
Off the record, just out of curiosity,
what's so special about Jack Bauer?
All right, we've found Bauer. We're pulling out. Lockdown's over.
Hope you give some thought to what we talked about.

- You Bauer from CTU?
- Yeah, that's right.
Look, the cop that he killed, she was my partner, you understand?
- I'm sorry.
- I heard you went off on him before.
I want him to go down for it, which means a clean bust.
- No more extracurricular activities.
- Understood.

Pull over.
Let my man bring him in.
- Senator, there's a threat on your life. - Call your man off.
Sir! All right, Jimmy, stand down.
- Keith! Hold up. - Go away.

Careful, Jack.
Somebody replaced the key card Walsh gave you with this one.
- Who? - Milo thinks it was you.
What are you talking about?
The only time Milo took his eyes off the system was when you distracted him.
OK, you're right. I just didn't wanna alarm anyone.
Division got some information. They didn't trust Milo with it.
Where's the key card, Jack?
Take care of this, Jack.
Give it to me, Jack, or I'll call Division myself.
Fine. There's the key card.

- Where are we going? - Turn right.
All night you've been giving me this line that somebody in the agency wants Palmer dead,
that your daughter's missing, that no one can be trusted, not even me.
Is it all a lie, Jack, or just some of it?
What was on the key card that you didn't want us to find?
Please, Nina, don't make this harder than it is.
You've got a gun on me, Jack. I don't see how it gets much worse.
Stay on Jefferson. ln about three miles you'll see a turn-off.
Keep going straight.
To think that I ever trusted you, Jack.
- That I defended you. - Watch out!

- What are you doing? - You're not the only one who has problems.
I just came off of a hellacious night shift,
I'm due in court in 45 minutes on a DUl charge, of which I'm guilty,
so, you know, good luck with your crisis, OK?
Don't!
Lauren, I have killed two people since midnight.
I have not slept for over 24 hours.
So maybe... maybe you should be a little more afraid of me than you are right now.
Sit.

The spot in fifteen minutes.
Okay, I think we're ready for Operation Norman.
You'll never get that off.
It's Meyer's roof dust.
All the hotels use it now. It diverts the sun's rays.
Keeps the utility bills down in the summer.
Yeah?
How do you know all this crap?
It's our job to know stuff.
All right, Nick, standing by for Operation Norman.

C'mon, Grissom, you have the guy, isn't that enough?
Yeah, well, we didn't get any prints off the duct tape.
Our audio guy's are working on stuff,
right now we need something more concrete if we want to prove that he did it.
- I want to help, Jack. - Okay, alright.
Whatever it takes to put this guy behind bars.
I'll do.

I could tell right off the bat, James was nervous, you know.
He was kind of a shy guy.
I mean... he wanted to pledge. He wanted to belong.
Yeah, he wanted to belong.
But you know what, I questioned his chops.
I think we all did.

I've already got mine paid off.
- Are you serious? - Yep, looks just like this one.
- How much did it run you? - Ten thou.
Ten thousand dollars?
For a box buried in the ground that everyone's only gonna see you in once.
I like it. Feels like a Caddie.
So when you buy one of these --
for ten thousand dollars...
- ...it's yours, right? - Well, of course it is.
- No one else gets to use it. - It's built for one.
Then how'd did all these people get in here?

Ecklie!
I want everything,
right now!
I've been going over it.
Collins case is my shift, you are completely off base.
What, you afraid I find something that might show you up?
I'm sure if you could, you would have by now.

Dead guy was wearing khakis, right?
Yeah.

Fibers torn from his pants, maybe.
We get anything else off the clothes?
Nick's working on it.

Well, we know he's suffering from the encephalitis.
He's probably sweating in fighting back a migraine.
I know what my guy's doing in my seat, Lou.
He's getting ticked off.
Yeah, but Candlewell's ticking off Nate in 2C even worse.
I mean this guy's perseverating.
Uncontrollably kicking the seat.
That's when I rise up and break the seat.
Right. So I get up, spin around, confront the guy.
Now Lou in 4B said he was the peacemaker.
Peacemaker my ass.

Kristy Hopkins was strangled with this sash
It's fingerprint-free, but the force of the pull would have scratched off
epithelials from the killer's hands, right?
Abraided, yeah
Can you extract DNA from epithelials?
If they're fresh enough.
Epithelials are an affirmative.
And they're good to go for DNA profiling.

I saw my engagement ring.
And I... I thought about Luke,
how he trusts me.
I don't think this is right.
You like it a little rough?
I was trying to push Darren off me.
- You can relax - I thought I... I don't think he got through.
He wouldn't stop.

I got a dead guy on a glass elevator. With a biz-illion prints
And a twenty-two caliber bullet.
It's virtually untraceable.
And he left the gun at the scene. You know what that means?
Hit man was a ghost.
Only got two things left, right.
Make that one thing.
You got to be kidding me.
No. It gets worse.
Got a print off your quarter. Ran it through AFIS. Came back your dead man.
Pretty gruesome.

What's up?
She did a "fill-in" back there, in the garage.
First she says she saw both shots,
but I just asked her, and she said she heard the first shot and then came running out here.
Heard the first shot then came running out here.
Yeah.
그래
McCall had a semiautomatic.
Squeezes off a shot in two-tenths of a second.
Right. It took me three-point-eight seconds to get out of here.
She didn't see any shot.

I'm almost done. I just gotta log off.
So this is progress,
the shirt confirms what the Coroner said The shots were fired back to front.
Look at those entry wholes.
Yeah, look at that gunpowder.
Unburned gunpowder.
Which happens when a gun is fired less than three feet from a victim.
Right.
McCall says that they were standing five paces apart.
Mrs. Hastings says exact the same thing.
So we got two eye witnesses on opposite sides of the case,
saying the same thing.

Wow. We supposed to be able keep up with those guys?
Yeah.
물론
Here we go. Come on!
Go on!
Good girl.
Hey, hey, yo, yo, back off, Snoop.
- Whadda you raggedy mutts want for me? - Right.
- Hey, you should.... - Don't be asking me.
The guy's wearing the evidence. In "plain sight."
We just got lucky.

Well, bear with us.
Alright, I'm McCall.
I have a gun.
I'm Hastings
stabs McCall in the right arm.
I push him back off.
And Hastings charges again.
This time lunges at McCall's mid-section.
I shoot.
He shoots from two feet, according to our firearms range test.
And the unburned powder on the victim's clothes.
And the bullet enters through the back, even though we are facing each other.
And exits out the front.

Darin, you and Felton you go back, right?
Knew the guy for fifteen years.
My folks lived across the street from him.
We'd barbecue together, with his wife and daughter.
Then, it must've really pissed you off when he turned on you.

Using computer software,
Teri can age Melissa's picture so that we can determine what Melissa looks like today, at 25.
Then, we'll send it off to every law enforcement agency in the state.
It's been so long. Tell us the truth: what are our chances?
Well, twenty-one years ago, you were told she was dead.
Now we're moving in the right direction.

Can I give you a hand with that?
Nope.
How'd you get in here?
Well I flashed my city I.D. And, uh, my smile.
What are we looking for?
A lot of factors contributed to the collapse.
I'm focusing on the human element.
Now if a sledgehammer was taken to this column recently, there'd be evidence of discoloration.
The damaged part would be lighter.
May I?
Hands off. / Oh, Right sorry.

What are you doing?
Checkin' out the dead guy's clothes.
Wow, what are these?
