A strange thing happened in our garden the other day.
I went out to play with my dog for a few minutes, and noticed the dog was barking at a big tree.
Then it started to dig a hole at the base of the tree.
Suddenly a large rat rushed out of the hole, ran across the garden and disappeared into some waste ground behind the garden.
The poor dog, surprised at this unexpected incident, was too slow to react, It ran to the fence, but without any result.
Linda was walking home from work one day last month, when she saw a man who was trying to break into a car.
She asked him what he was doing.
Then he said to her, "Get lost!"
She ran to a nearby shop and asked the owner to call the police, which he did immediately.
When she went outside again, she saw that both the thief and the car had gone.
About ten minutes later, a police car came.
Linda gave a description of the thief.
She said that he looked about twenty-five years old.
A few days later she found out that the thief had been caught and that the car had been returned to its owner, undamaged.
Linda was glad to be able to help.
Linda
One fine day, when Ted was playing with his friends,
one of his friends climbed up a tree and fell down into an aquarium which was placed under the tree.
The aquarium was full of water.
At that moment, all the children were afraid and ran away except Ted.
He was also very scared but he thought that he had to do something.
Finally he picked up a big stone and threw it to break the aquarium glass.
Everybody admired him because he was calm and clever.
I recently had an encounter with a dog owner letting his large German shepherd run free around the park.
For the third time in the last month, I asked the man to restrain the dog while I ran past with my leashed dog, and he refused.
Another man who regularly plays with his dog simply stares when I ask him to restrain his dog.
Dog owners like these two men usually say their dogs are “safe.” But I've seen apparent “hellos” escalate into vicious fights between two “nice dogs.” Dog fights are brutal and bloody affairs impossible to break up without risking serious injury.
I was seriously bitten some years ago breaking up a fight between my dog and an unleashed dog, and had to have stitches and a rabies shot as a result.
Weinberger initially expected to reveal in March what sort of
intercontinental manned bomber the U.S. would build to replace its aging fleet
of 316 B-52s, whose mission it is to retaliate against the U.S.S.R. if a nuclear
strike is ever mounted. But here the Secretary ran into a dilemma that bedevils
all such programs: whether to wait for the development of hot new technology, at
the price of forgoing a weapon that could be used quickly, or order arms that
could be put into production rapidly, at the cost of settling for something less
effective than a later one could be.

At the same time, other aspects of the Punk Look appealed not only for
attention, but for the love and care that we give to very small
children, especially to injured ones. After all, where else had we seen
that fluffy hair, those pale scratched faces and scraped knees, those
torn shirts and jeans? As for that Punk trade- mark, the outsize safety
pin stuck through a cheek or earlobe, it could not help but remind every
mother of the awful moment when she ran one just like it into her
darling instead of his nappie.

The 2 minutes felt like 2 hours! I hurried out of the station
and ran towards the theater. I crashed into an oncoming lady.
A pile of papers the lady was holding dropped and scattered
everywhere. I apologized again and again, and broke into a
run. Well, today would not have been complete without so many
people on the street! The crowds added to the absurdity of it
all. It was disgustingly hot and humid, as usual. I finally
got to the theater and saw a never-ending line of people.
1. Hurried out of the station: Hurry
명사로 써서 in a hurry를 쓸 수도 있습니다.
I ran out of the station in a hurry.
2. Crashed into an oncoming lady: Crash
Hey, are you driving towards my house?
Nope. I'm driving INTO your house.
I'm not ready for the oncoming shockwave of societal
transformation.
3. Broke into a run: Break
He broke into a smile when he heard it.
His voice broke.
4. Today would not have been complete without so many people
Today would not have been complete without a construction in
the middle of the road!
5. The crowds added to the absurdity of it all: 하필이면
His father's death added to his misery.
6. Disgustingly hot and humid:
7. Never-ending line of people: Never-ending story
He gave me a "who-the-hell-are-you" look.
He looked at me as if to say "who the hell are you."
Teens model themselves after the movie stars.
Model oneself after(on) someone
Teens look at our movie stars and they model themselves after them.
He tried to model himself after his father.

After parking the car, I ran for the nearby subway station. I
didn't have a fare card with me, so I put 400 Won into the
slot of the automatic ticket vending machine and pushed the
button. But, nothing happened. I thought the damn machine was
out of order and had eaten my money, so I gave it a real hard
kick. A station attendant came up and scolded me saying the
fare had been raised to 450 Won long ago. How embarrassing. I
bought a ticket and slid through the turnstile. I found a
train already leaving. Damn, I missed the train by a second.
I didn't have a fare card with me 처럼 with me를 쓴 것은
2. Slot: Slot
3. The damn machine was out of order: Order
4. Gave it a real hard kick: 찬다고 하면 그냥 kick을 쓰지요.
take, have에 붙여 씁니다.
Push를 이런 형태로 바꾼다면 give it a push가 되겠지요. Look할
것도 take a good look하지요.
5. Station attendant came up:
Something came up. I won't be able to meet at 7.
6. Long ago: Long time ago
7. Slid: slide
8. Turnstile:
9. Missed the train by a second: 무슨무슨 차이로 할 때 by를
간발의 차이로는 by a hair('s breadth) 또는 by a
whisker를 쓰지요.
I missed the train by a hair.
I got on the plain by a hair.

I chose to park the car in a nearby parking lot and take the
subway. The parking lot was also crowded and I had to
parallel park the car. I signaled and pulled up about a meter
away from the car I wanted to park behind, aligning my rear
tires with the other car's rear bumper. Put the car into
reverse, and turned my wheel all the way to the right. Slowly
backed up until I was at a 45 degree angle, and stopped.
Turned the wheels again all the way to the left, and slowly
backed up until I was parallel with the wall. Backed up
straight as far as I could go without touching the car behind
me. I made sure I had enough room to clear the car in front
of me. That way, I could ease out of the parking space when I
got back. How sly I am.
1. Chose to park: choose to ~ 는 무엇무엇하기로 결정하다는
2. Take the subway: Take a bus, take a taxi
지하철은 take the subway라고 합니다.
3. Paraller park:
4. Pulled up about a meter away: Pull
5. Aligning my rear tires with ~ : align
6. Put the car into reverse:
전진에 놓으면 put the car into drive겠지요.
Overdrive에 놓으려면 put the car into overdrive.
To the Moon and
Back 가사에도 나왔듯 push the shift to overdrive라고 할 수도
7. All the way: 무엇무엇을 어느 한도까지 완전히 할 때 쓰는
He ran all the way to his home.
8. At a 45 degree angle:
The coast is clear.
10. Ease out of the parking space:

Byeong-hoon, who went to the hospital without time to escape from shock, ran into the operating room obstinately and begged to leave as soon as he met Mina, who was about to give up the operation.
◆ frighten, scare, startle, terrify
=. The prospect of being deserted by her husband deeply frightened her.
=. They frightened him into submission[confessing].
2) scare : frighten
=. He is scared of the dark.
=. Our approach scared the rabbit and he ran.
=. Oh! You startled me - I didn't see you come in.
=. He was startled out of his doze.
=. She startled at the sound.
=. The terrified people were trying to get out of a burning building.
=. I was terrified out of my senses.

istration?

Jay: But wait, wait a minute! So you just flash that thing and it
erases her memory and you just make up a new one?
Kay: A standard-issue neuralizer.
Jay: And that ass weak story was the best you can come up with?
Kay: All right. On a more personal note, Beatrice. Edgar ran off
with an old girlfriend. You're going to go stay with your
mama a couple of nights and you're going to get over and de-
cide you're better off.
Jay : In fact, you know what? YOU KICKED HIM OUT.

Find somewhere maybe you could get a facial.
