→ 『물론 중요하지만~』- Of course(or No doubt of Indeed or It is true) it is important to~, 「과연 ~이지만, 그러나…」 Of course; No doubt; Indeed; It is true; Undoubtedly; To be sure; I admit
⇒ It is true he is young, but he is prudent for his age.
Indeed he is a psychologist, but he doesn't seem to know how to control children.
I admit he is a good player, but he cannot compare (or be compared) with his brother.
→ 「건강에 주의한다는 것」은 to take care of one's health 와 같이 부정사를 주어로 할 수도 있지만, it를 내세워 문장의 균형을 잡는 것이 좋다.
→ 「병에 걸리는 것을 지나치게 두려워하다」/be too much afraid of getting ill. 좋지 않다/ not wise; unwise; bad policy등, 「병에 걸리다」/ become ill; fall ill, get ill; be taken ill 등.
(ANS) Of course it is important (or it is of course important) to take care of one's health, but it is not wise to be too much afraid of getting ill.

It's not the most thrilling detective story I've ever read.
I must say, but it wasn't too bad.

A little long, but not too bad.

You plan to commercialize space.
You're planning to charge 200,000 a pop, US $200,000.
The dollar's going down. It's not too bad!
* commercialize 영리적으로 이용하다; 상용화하다, 상업화하다
* a pop 1회, 1점, 한 개
ex. Tickets for the show are a hundred bucks a pop.(그 쇼의 티켓은 한 장에 100달러다.)

T : Everyone, It's time for listening practice. First of all, let's check the tape recorder. Is it clear enough?
S1 : Not bad, Mr. Kim.
T : Can you hear in the back?
S2 : No, Mr. Kim. Is it at the maximum?
T : I wonder.
S2 : If so, I don't think the tape recorder works properly.
T : Oh, I'm sorry. I've got too much bass. Just a second. I'll try it again. Is the volume all right now?
S2 : Yes, Mr. Kim.
T : Good. Now, you will hear the dialogue. Listen carefully.

T : What's wrong with S1? Why is he lying on his face?
S2 : He's not feeling well. He has caught a bad cold. He has been sick for two days.
T : Oh! That's too bad. You should be careful about your health, especially during the winter.
S1 : (Standing up) Mr. Shin, may I go to the infirmary to take medicine and rest for a while? I have a fever and a bad headache. I can't stand it any longer.
T : Of course you may go. And after school, you'd better go see a doctor.

S1 : I am so tired from sleeping late last night.
S2 : What did you do?
S1 : I was out with Mi-ra. I got yelled at by my parents
for coming home so late.
S2 : Are things going well between you two?
S1 : Not really. We had a little argument.
S2 : That's too bad.
S1 : Oh, never mind. Let's change the subject.
S2 : Look there is a vending machine over there.
What would you like?
S1 : A coke sounds good.
S2 : Here you are.
S1 : Thanks. Glad to have you as my friend.

It's not all bad news for men, though.
In a related study, the team found that the hearts of veteran male athletes were as powerful as those of inactive 20-year-old male undergraduates.
But can men really recover lost heart function after a lifetime of inactivity and poor diet? Is it ever too late to start exercising?
“I think the answer is no,” says a doctor.
“The health benefits to be gained from sensible exercise are to be recommended, regardless of age.”
So if you are male and getting older, get on with it.

Of course, in any society, there are bound to be some negative attributes.
Parents should point out the negative factors prevailing in any society to warn their children, for children are not always able to recognize something bad.
But in doing so, parents should be careful not to focus on the negatives too much, which can wipe out the positives.
Why not have the approach "the cup is half full," with less emphasis on the "the cup is half empty."

You are soaking wet.
Yes. I was caught in the rain.
That's too bad. I didn't know it was raining. Is it still coming down?
아니.
No, not any more.

It is perfectly normal not to feel good. This does not mean that it is
normal to feel rotten all the time, or even to feel bad too often. "All
things in moderation." said the Greeks, and that is the rule for feeling
good and bad. A person who feels bad with reasonable regularity will
enjoy the occasional period of feeling good far more than somebody who
feels good so often that he is bored by it.

JUST THE WAY YOU ARE
by Billy Joel
Don't go changing to try and please me
You never let me down before mm-mm-
Don't imagine you're too familliar
And I don't see you anymore
I would not leave uou in times of trouble
We never could have come this far mm
I took the good times
I'll take the bad times
I'll take you just way you are
-
Don't go trying some new fashion
Don't change the color of your hair mm
You always have my unspoken passion
Although I might not seem to care
I don't want to work that hard mm-mm-
I just want someone that i cad talk to
I want you just the way you are
-
I need to know that you will always be
The same old someone that I know
Oh, What will it take till you believe in me
The way that I believe in you
I said I love you and that's forever
And this I promise from the heart mm
-
I could not love you any better
I love you just the way you are
I don't want clever conversation
I never want to work that hard mm-mm-
I just want someone that I can talk to
I wnat you just the way you are-

A famous humor columnist said, "Nagging is not bad because it comes from those who seek perfection."
A boss can nag workers when they have too much lunchtime.
An environmentalist can nag the public when they pollute the earth.
A government can nag everyone to pay the taxes when the public welfare must be improved.
Nagging will not be stopped until the humans reach the ideal state.

Can I at least have a few minutes with him?
Thank you.
Get up.
일어나
If you tell me who you are, I might be able to help you.

I'm not worried about them.
- Who are you worried about?
- You spring me, then I talk.
- That's not gonna happen.

Bauer.
바우어
Bauer. How do you know my name?
Time's up.
I know more than that. If you ever wanna see your daughter again, get me outta this.
What do you know about my daughter?!
I'm fine! I'm fine!

Good morning.
Things have been out of control here today. Starting now, they're back in control.
Most of you know that an attempt was made on Senator Palmer at about 8am.
You may not know that Jack Bauer was apparently involved in that attempt.
The nature of his involvement isn't clear,
but he has escaped custody and is considered a fugitive.
We therefore have two objectives: Find Jack Bauer,
and make a quick and accurate assessment of the threat, if any, facing Senator Palmer.
I know most of you have been up more than 24 hours.
Too bad. Nobody so much as yawns until we accomplish our objective.
If anybody has a problem with that, now would be a good time to resign.
Good. Let's get back to work.
Specific assignments will be confirmed or revised within the hour.

- Hey. I'm here. - Bad timing?
No problem. I just could have used a few more minutes.
I wish I had 'em. Gimme what you got.
All right. He's the oldest of three children. His father died when he was a boy.
Means he learned responsibility early.
ln college at 16. lntelligent.
First in his class. Vice president of a company three years later.
OK. So he's ambitious, driven. Maybe too much so.
- He has a heart condition. - I know. I've got his pills.
He's very organised.
No charities, no...
He's not generous with time or money. Anal. I'd guess passive-aggressive. Control freak.
So make him sweat it out for a while, assume control, then behave erratically.
Yeah. One more thing. Um, a hunch, really.
With people this tightly wound, the threat of pain can be more effective than pain itself.
This is all just guesswork. I could have done more if I'd had time.
You did great. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

How's the girl?
She's still in surgery. She's not doing very well.
That's too bad.

Stuart Rampler was resistent.
He didn't want to to get in the tub too easily.
It took a few jabs to his temple.
But the killer just lost his first round.
We know how he gets his vics into the tub
and we know both killings were homicides.
Not a bad start...

She's bad news, but she is a babe.
Tell me about it.
Yeah. But between you and me, I should a busted her but I thought I might get lucky.
Yeah. Me, too.
Next time she gets in a jam, she throws my name out.
My boss... not pleased.

Interesting, how people catalogue their lives.
Fifty years of marriage on the walls.
Yeah, it's a lot of years.
Maybe a few years too many for the Mrs.
No. I don't know.
These two were good with each other.
Phew. Takes a bad marriage to recognize a good one.
Well, not even an aspirin.

And if he kills again while we're trying to understand him?
Well, I'm sorry, but he's not going to kill my CSI.
I'm going to do it, Grissom.
I want to.
You want to put yourself in the path of a psychotic killer?
I'm trained in weaponless defense.
Oh, That's too bad, because that's what turns him on women fighting back.
Gives him a greater sense of power when he makes his final kill.

Why are we not attempting to re-attach the severed penis?
Teeth don't slice. They tear.
You can only re-attach with a clean cut.
If she wanted to slice him off with a knife...
Besides, the digestive juices didn't leave much of the flesh to work with.
Right. So, what do we do?
Sew him up minus a large part of the family jewels.
And his outlook?
He'll be urinating out of a bag for a very, very long time.
Not to mention he'll never be able to have sex again.
- Oh, too bad. - Shame.
Let's all take a moment to grieve.
Clamp.
클램프
Richard.
선생님
We got the rapist.
He stumbled right into the hospital.
Yeah, I heard.

Hey, uh, you were at the scene?
Yeah. Won't be too bad for you. Lot of carnage. Not a lot of survivors.

Yeah, but some redneck tried to outrun the train. Then they go and give us this little boy doctor...
all right, the scar shouldn't be too bad.
Can you tell me, my friend, she's pregnant, too.
She was put in a different ambulance. She was burned.
Do you know where she is? If she's not down here, she should be up in maternity.
Okay, I need to see her.

We're throwing out the rundown and leading with the debt ceiling.
- You get all that? - Yeah.
Is it working?
No. They're laughing at me.
They think I'm a small-time troll.
- That's got to hurt. - It does.
It's too bad you're not the guy who left the death threat for Will.
That's a dangerous area.
Yeah.

I knew that complicated interests, unfamiliar and difficult financial terms were bad, but it is easy to understand the reality of private equity fund Lone Star, which I did not know "because it was too difficult", and their acquisition of Korea Exchange Bank and "dine and dash".

Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor Lee Cheol-woo said, "Should we voluntarily go into preventive cohort isolation if it were not that bad? The incidence of confirmed cases is on the decline, but it is too early to be relieved."

to a T이다.
Mr.Brown:How do you like your new house?
Mr.Smith:Oh, it suits us to a T.
Mr.Brown:Isn't it too small for your family members?
Mr.Smith:I don't think so. You know, if a house is too spacious, it's
difficult to clean it up and the maintenance could be very high.
Mr.Brown:That's right, and I have found if very difficult to find
every one of the family members, if they hide in their rooms.
Mr.Smith:Playing hide-and-seek with your children! That's not bad.

Larry: (후안을 놀리면서) Ha, yeah! Come on big boy. Yeah, come on
big boy. Ha.. a...
